To everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word or helped make Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library possible in Marshall County: thank you.

Because of you, more than 1,500 local children receive a free book every month. Your generosity brings stories into their homes, sparks imaginations and creates moments to share with the people who love them.

Dolly called the local partners behind her Imagination Library the “true heroes” of the program. We’re grateful for everyone in Marshall County who carries her spirit of giving forward.

This Friday, September 25, we’re joining communities around the world for Give Like Dolly Day. In a nod to Dolly’s 9 to 5, we’ve set a goal of raising $9,250, beginning on 9/25, for the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Endowment Fund at MCCF. Gifts to the fund will help keep books coming to Marshall County children for years to come.

Give Like Dolly Day is this Friday, September 25!

Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—we’re honoring that spirit through Give Like Dolly Day.

The Dollywood Foundation has invited communities around the world to celebrate Dolly Parton’s legacy by supporting the local partners that bring her Imagination Library to children. Here in Marshall County, that means helping children receive a free, high-quality book each month from birth to age 5.

In a nod to Dolly’s iconic 9 to 5 song and film, we’re kicking off a $9,250 fundraising goal on 9/25 to help sustain the program for Marshall County children for years to come.

We invite you to attend a community focus group about health and well-being in our region. As part of a Community Health Needs Assessment including Marshall county, local organizations are gathering input from community members to better understand what is working well and where there are opportunities for improvement.

The focus group will take place on July 30 from 9:00–10:00 a.m at United Way of Marshall County, and participants will receive a $10 gift card as a thank-you for their time.
