Official site of the Plymouth High School travel group, Adventurous Pilgrims. On July 10, 2017 at 11 a.m.

For the past two years Plymouth High School social studies teachers Melissa Faulstich and Ryan Wolfe have been planning a trip to Europe for students to study history abroad. the voyage became reality when the Plymouth High School group set sail on their journey. The group is traveling through Education First Educational Tours. In all 13 PHS students are on the 2017 summer trip titled, WWII and the Western Front. The students studying abroad are: seniors, Taylor Drake, Josh Hildebrand, Liliana Medrano, Quinten Rodgers, and Autumn Wilson. Juniors Lauren DeMont, Kaitlyn Renneker and Gabriella Ruiz, along with sophomores Katie Machlan, Alison Manges, Bryan Mullins, Kelsey Kruyer, and Lauren Schumacher. The trip itinerary consists of guided tours in England, France, Germany and Austria. You are encouraged to follow the Adventurous Pilgrims journey right here on our new club page.

Come to PHS Wednesday (tonight) at 6 as we open our 2028 trip for enrollment. The travel company will award some scholarships to students who enroll tonight.

Said our goodbyes to our tour director, Daniel, and five travelers with different flights. Took our last bus ride together in Europe on the way to the airport. Had plenty of time to eat and relax at our gate. We are now boarded on our 8.5 hour flight from Madrid to Toronto.

Guided tour of Madrid in the morning and then a guided tour in Toledo in the afternoon. A great last day!
*Update* Mr. Ames has five swords in his suitcase because some travelers’ suitcases aren’t as big as the swords they bought in Toledo today.😂🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️😂

Today we had to be packed and ready to leave our hotel at 5:45 am to drive into Barcelona for a morning train into Madrid. We arrived in Madrid for lunch and free time before our visit to the Prado Museum. After dinner in the city, we checked into our final hotel.

Today was a full day exploring Barcelona. We had to divide into groups for guided tours of Sagrada Família and Park Güell. Beautiful city!

Today was a travel day as we left Nîmes, France and drove toward our hotel north of Barcelona in Blanes, Spain. We added an excursion at Carcassonne, France on the way. Now I want to buy the board game, Carcassonne. We had a buffet dinner at the hotel. Some travelers walked down to the beach, some used the laundromat, and some enjoyed the rooftop pool. Tomorrow will be a full day in Barcelona.

Today we explored many amazing sites in Nîmes, France and then drove about 40 minutes outside the city to explore the Pont du Gard. The Romans built this aqueduct to bring fresh water 31 miles from the mountains into the city of Nîmes. Today there were many incredible sites from Roman times.

This morning we left Italy and drove to France. On the way we stopped at Monaco to eat lunch and enjoy some free time. Next we stopped at Fragonard perfume factory for a tour. We also had a bit of free time in Nice, France before dinner. Our hotel is in Cannes, which is famous for its film festival.

Today we used the train to explore beautiful Cinque Terre. It was another very hot day. Tomorrow we leave Italy and drive to France.
