The Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation

The Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation To aid youth facing poverty, hunger or homelessness and to bring them hope through faith and love, so they may accomplish all of their dreams.

Overview:

The Faith, Hope and Love Foundation is a 501-c-3 not- for- profit organization in NH, started by Plymouth State Alumni Laura Brusseau and Jessica Dutille. The organization was started on January 11, 2006. Our Foundation has given out over $12,000 to children and youth in NH to date. Each year we hold a benefit dinner to raise funds to give students in need. The Foundation also sells

t-shirts and runs various smaller fundraisers to raise money for our children and youth. The Foundation gives a $1,000 College Scholarship and a book award to a student that has financial need, strong grades and helps his/her community. We also hold an annual Gowns for Girls Event, to give prom dresses to girls that do not have the means to get one. Our Logo is designed by Bryan McCormick of Laconia. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support! THANK YOU for helping us make a difference!

Did you know the FHL is an all volunteer non profit? We are so unbelievably grateful for these amazing humans that keep our foundation running and make our events so successful! SPOTLIGHT ON SCHOLORSHIP RECIPIENTS:
our 4th 2022 recipient is Bridget Van Valzah

My name is Bridget Van Valzah and I am a 2022 Faith Hope and Love Foundation Scholarship recipient. This year, I graduated from Monadnock Regional High School and will be attending Eastern Nazarene College in the fall. Throughout high school, I was a leader on varsity swim and tennis teams. I served my community and school as the Volunteer Hours Coordinator of the National Honor Society. I regularly volunteer at my local library, as well. I am looking forward to college, where I plan to study Business Administration and Psychology and continue playing tennis. As a Christian, it is my ultimate goal to follow the example of Jesus Christ by serving my community.

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR 2022 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS:
3rd Recipient Haniya Jalili

My name is Haniya Jalili and I am currently a senior in High School. After graduating, I plan to attend SNHU and continue my education with a major in Biology. And after that I plan to study some more to become an optometrist. With such a long road ahead of me, I am sincerely grateful to have been given a scholarship by the FHL foundation, because it is with their contributions that I am able to make my dreams come true. Their contributions mean so deeply to me given that I, too, value community service a lot. During my high school years I have created a lot of holiday cards to be sent to nursing homes; and later during COVID I made cards to bring hope for the elderlies isolated in those nursing homes. I have also contributed to a clothing drive in hopes that I can put a smile on someone’s face. The rewarding feeling that I get through doing such acts of community service makes me want to continue to do more and give back to my community for the years to come. I hope that one day I can achieve all my goals, be of help to my community, and inspire others to do the same as well

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS:
Our second 2022 scholarship recipient Emmett.

My name is Emmett Wilson and I am a 2022 Faith Hope and Love Scholarship recipient. Over the years, I have been involved with a number of service-oriented projects and events including several with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and New Hampshire Humane Society. I have also helped with a variety of church activities to assist people in my congregation. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, hiking, weightlifting, and swimming, a sport I plan to continue at the college level. I will be attending Grove City College in the fall to study mechanical engineering with a minor in robotics. Engineering is always something I have been drawn to, so I look forward to furthering my study of it, and entering this fascinating field.

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS!!
It is our honor to share with you our first of 5 scholarship recipients for 2022 , Natalie.

My name is Natalie Stottlar and I'm a senior, graduating from Laconia High School. During this school year, I was able to create and run my own mentoring program with the 6th graders at Laconia Middle School. I spent numerous months teaching about social and emotional skills as well as planning for the future. I've been put in various situations that have helped me become the person I am today. I was able to take what I've learned about myself and provide for the kids that needed it. This all has helped me stay motivated and graduate with a Diploma of Distinction. As I achieved the amount of hours needed in the first 2 months of school by being a part of Key Club, I also worked to prevent drugs and alcohol in my community through Stand up Sachems. Outside of school, I spend most of my time watching or playing basketball. I've had a love for basketball since I was 4 years old and has helped me bring my family together during hard times. Basketball has brought my dad and I together as he competes with me while being incarcerated. My mom looks forward to watching basketball with me when I travel to Florida. In the fall, I will be pursuing my love for basketball by attending the University of New Hampshire as I plan to major in Sports Management. I plan to use my degree to manage a business within sports. I am beyond grateful for the Faith Hope and Love Foundation as they have provided me support in my upcoming goals
