About Us

Thanks-for-Giving Day Foundation, Inc. The purpose of Thanks-for-Giving Day Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, is to give children and families the tools they need to give of their time, talent and treasure. Philanthropy and volunteerism are wonderful ways for parents to share their core values with their children. And, in some cases, children can teach their parents about how to give back to the causes they support. Thanks-for-Giving Day is the first Thursday of November each year marking the beginning of National Philanthropy Month.

Peter Dubay Peter Dubay is the author of the Thanks-for-Giving Day Children’s Book and founder of Thanks-for-Giving Day Foundation, Inc. He is a professional fundraiser with more than forty years of experience. He has worked with non-profit organizations throughout New England, but mostly on Cape Cod and the South Shore of Massachusetts including Plymouth. His professional mission is to improve the quality of life in the communities that he serves and to promote the values of giving, especially to children and young families.
