Fairways for Warriors Orlando Chapter Golf Clinic at Orange County National! ⛳

This afternoon, our members came together to learn, connect, and enjoy the game we all love. The clinic provided valuable golf instruction, plenty of camaraderie, and an opportunity for our veterans to spend quality time together before heading out to the course for a round of golf.

A huge thank you to our newest Orlando Chapter Director, Mark Bolotte, for leading today's clinic and helping make the event such a success. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Golf Coach, Fred Patterson, for sharing his knowledge and expertise with our members.

Special thanks to physical therapist, Chris Parks, who kicked off the clinic with stretching and exercise routines to help our veterans prepare both physically and mentally for a great day on the course.

Events like these are what Fairways for Warriors is all about: building community, promoting wellness, and supporting our veterans through the game of golf.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make today a memorable experience. We look forward to seeing you at the next clinic!

We had 14 of our members out at the Lou Frey Memorial Golf Tournament at Orange Tree Golf Club, and what a wonderful day it was! ⛳️
From great swings to even better company, it was a fantastic time on the course. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event and to share it together.

Getting Back to Golf & Life as a New Chapter Begins for - Brian Hicks
COO/Executive Director Transitions from Leadership Role

Orlando, FL – February 25, 2026 – After an impactful period of leadership, innovation, and passionate dedication, Brian Hicks, COO/Executive Director of Fairways for Warriors, has announced he will be stepping away from his role to begin a new chapter focused on personal pursuits, including spending more time on the golf course, focusing on his health and time with family.

During more than a decade of tenure, Brian served as far more than an executive leader. He was a strategic visionary, with a steady and trusted presence, and a champion for the mission. His leadership strengthened operational foundations, expanded programs, enhanced financial stability, and cultivated meaningful partnerships that have positioned the organization for continued growth and long-term success.

“Working hand in hand with Brian, made me understand how much I could rely on him in his role with complete trust, faith and confidence in his abilities which made the flow of life less hectic. His years of experience helped build and shape the mission, which I can only say a big heartfelt thank you for his dedication and positive impact to the organization”, said Kenny Nairn, Chairman of the Board. “His leadership, passion, and commitment to our mission have made a lasting impact on our veterans, our members, and our team. His legacy will continue to provide a positive impact as we continue to cultivate the partnerships that he grew. This will position the organization for further growth and long-term success. While we will miss his daily presence, we are delighted that Brian is continuing his passion in the game that he loves and his decision to focus on balance and personal well-being. He has certainly earned it.”

Under Brian’s guidance, Fairways for Warriors achieved significant growth milestones and deepened its service to veterans and their families. He brought both professionalism and approachability to his role, leading with integrity, humor, and a genuine heart for those the organization serves. “I’ve been honored to serve Fairways for Warriors and work alongside this group of professionals, dedicated leaders, volunteers, and members,” said Hicks. “The mission will always be close to my heart. I look forward to staying connected while embracing this next season of life.”

Fairways for Warriors will announce interim leadership plans in the coming weeks and remains committed to advancing its mission and supporting the community it proudly serves.
