Greetings, Washington County!

What does 4-H mean to you—and what would you like it to mean for our community?

Washington County 4-H is growing and we value your ideas!

Our current programs include:

Farmview — exploring life on the farm

Shooting Sports — building leadership and marksmanship skills

Sew 4-H — stitching together community

Boots on the Ground — combining line dancing and community service

What should come next? Whether you’re a young person with an interest to explore, a parent with an idea, or a community member with a skill to share, we’d love to hear from you!

128 E. Water St.

Be sure to tell them what a great job they did at the Youth Market Turkey Show held October 8th in Raleigh. It was a huge success for our Washington County showmen.

Congratulations to all the 4-Hers on their success!

This is Sew 4-H!

On September 13th, we revealed the quilt celebrating Washington County sewn by members of your community.

Faith, Family, and Fun were all represented in this homage to Washington County.

Thank you to all involved in getting us from start to this lovely finish. Stay tuned for additional Sew 4-H programming.

NC A&T University is hosting a poultry judging clinic/contest on November 10th. Lunch and prizes will be provided. You must register by September 30th; registration is free!

This summer involved stepping outside of our NC Cooperative Extension gear to learn from the largest hospitality business program in the UNC system!

I'm extending a huge thank you to Bertie and Vance County 4-H for allowing Washington County 4-H to tag along for your 5 universities in 5 days tour to include the Hospitality Department at East Carolina University. What an experience!
