Wythougan has been working the last several months to develop a website in order to launch it for Historic Preservation Month, and America's 250 Celebration. In time, we will be placing QR codes around Marshall County to connect people to their communities.

Special thanks to Andrew Large/AJL Media, and let us know what you think!

Sunday, Sept 14. This is your chance to see the inside of five OLD Plymouth church buildings and learn a bit about the architecture of each. These churches, all located within two blocks of the courhouse, are all over 100 years old. At least 2 were designed by Plymouth architects/builders. The Iconic Church Tour features 4 churches on Adams Street plus St. Michael Catholic church. This event is a fundraiser for the Marshall County Museum. The tour starts by gathering at the United Church of Christ at the corner of Adams and Center between 2 and 2:30. Ticket holders are assigned to a guide. Your ticket will have a colored letter indicating your group. The event has a shot gun start. Everyone embarks promptly from the UCC at 2:30. The event will take about 2 hours. Some of the churches have restrooms available. Not all are handicap accessible for this tour. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the museum Friday and Saturday or at the UCC at 2. Cash or Card accepted. Call the museum Friday or Saturday between 10 and 4 with any questions. On Sunday, If you have questions, we'll be at the UCC by 1:45. We cannot promise to see questions to this post. (We try, but don't always notice alerts.) Some of our best volunteers are serving as guides and will point out architectural details. Kurt Garner, John Houghton, Derek Jensen, Jane Griewank, and Lacey King. Each congregation is hosting inside their own church and sharing stories about the uniqueness of each church. Bring your friends and explore some local architectural history together.

We are RAISING SPIRITS IN MARSHALL COUNTY! Plans are underway for the 2024 Ghost Walk at the Museum. It’s back, bigger and better than ever! Held only every two years, this is the eighth time we’ve offered one of the Museum’s most popular events. Join us Friday OR Saturday, October 25 and 26. Hear about the dramatic demise of some early county residents, brought to life again by our amazing group of storytellers. Explore some off-limits parts of the Museum at night, in the dark, with strangers

Tickets are $15 and are on sale NOW at the Museum. Please be aware that while our event is not excessively gory, young children may be frightened. The Museum is located at 123 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN. Reach us at 574-936-2306 with questions.
