The Agitator

The Agitator We witness and we agitate. We work at getting you to think. You speak up. And sometimes it means you run for office. This is a place to keep informed.

Being a good citizen does not just mean you vote and then set back and let those elected do whatever they want. Being a good citizen means keeping yourself informed, attending school board meetings, attending city council meetings, attending county council meetings. It also means you speak up so that elected officials know what those who elected them believe and want. It is also a place to express

your opinion. It is a place to tell those elected just what you think. Another purpose is to establish outreach, training, and educational efforts aimed at advancing a mutual assistance community, to promote community defense, self-direction, the liberation of all peoples, critical social analysis. It does not mean that you will agree with everything written here. it does not mean that you will agree with everyone's comments. It does mean that you will listen and express what you believe so that the entire community is informed. Our Founding Fathers did not agree on everything, but they created a great nation...a nation that has served as an example to other nations. So what did you want to know about? What do you think?. What do you want?

Our mission is very simple. We feed folks! The homeless and near-homeless, the disenfranchised and marginalized, and the poorest of the poor.

You can support the monastery and Orthodox Workers by donating blankets, gloves, sleeping bags, toiletries, hand warmers, and thermals, and dropping them off at the monastery on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 12 noon and 4 pm. If you need to contact the monastery, we may be able to pick them up from you.

We provide essentials like food, clothing, shoes, diapers, toiletries, and, many times, a nice hot meal. We help take some of the burden off so you can use your income to pay your utility bills, rent, food, or gas.

With monthly donations from caring supporters like you, we can do more good every day. We can help feed more folks every day. We can clothe more folks. We can visit more strangers. Become a recurring monthly donor and support the Monastery of the Holy Martyrs and Orthodox Workers. But one-time donations also bring the gift of warmth and hope. Just follow this link: https://givebutter.com/vfQazT and make a difference in someone's life. Give hope where there is none.

The greatest miracle is not raising the dead but feeding the hungry. We pray to end hunger, but we also feed the folks who are hungry. We are not out to feed the world or end hunger. Our goal: We want to feed one person, and if that is a child, even better.

The bread in your cupboard belongs to the hungry man; the coat hanging in your closet belongs to the man who needs it; the shoes rotting in your closet belong to the man who has no shoes; the money which you put into the bank belongs to the poor
