At For Pete's Sake, we put families first! That's why we're celebrating the first of the month with a story from one of the families we recently provided with an FPS Respite Experience.

Rachel traveled to The Pines, Family Resort at Woodloch in February with her sister and caretaker Shana. After a year of hardship and loss, respite gave Rachel something to look forward to and build from. The sisters reconnected through painting, walking in the snow, and shared cups of coffee in the morning. All while sharing community with other families going through similar journeys.

“It added a bright light to the sadness, frustration, and overwhelming feelings that come with cancer. There are so many unknowns and things change all the time, and this was a way to stay grounded and connected.”
