Troop 111 - Plum Boro, PA BSA Troop III, based in Plum Boro, Pennsylvania, is chartered by the Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department Troop 111 was established in 1963.

Over its history, more than 74 young men have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. We are part of the Laurel Highlands Council in Pittsburgh, PA

The scouts of our Troop ARE our troop. The more experienced scouts lead the way for the younger scouts in their activities, camping experiences, and service projects. They work together in their patrols in every aspect of scouting. If you are interested in learning more about our Troop, please message us here or join us for a meeting. 🦅🎉 Congratulations, Ian! 🎉🦅

Plum’s own Ian Bartolomeo (Troop 111) has earned the prestigious Eagle Scout rank, Scouting’s highest honor, after successfully completing his Board of Review on April 19, 2026.

For his Eagle Scout project, Ian partnered with Allegheny County’s Boyce Park to lead a team of volunteers in building and installing a bike repair station for the community. 🚴‍♂️

Ian is recognized as an outstanding student and leader who truly exemplifies the values of the Scout Law and Oath. He has also been an active leader in the Plum High School Marching Band and Plum Bots IQ team. He will be graduating this May.

Ian will be attending West Virginia University’s Honors College, where he plans to major in Aerospace Engineering, with aspirations of becoming a flight test engineer. ✈️
