Thank you to the Havelock, Pocahontas and Rolfe Fire Departments and the Pocahontas County Sheriffs Office for helping with storm damage in and around town last night.

Also, thank you to the students from PAC who came to help with cleanup today.

Your hard work and dedication to helping our community do not go unnoticed.

Road projects will be starting up this Spring around the County. This is the schedule as it sits now without any intervention from mother nature (see the scheduled projects in red on the map).

- P19 (County line project) will begin next week (Mid April).
- N28 (3 miles North of HWY 3) is set to begin at the beginning of May.
- C26 (3 miles East of HWY 4) is set to begin in the middle of May.
- N57 (5 miles from C26 North to the County line) is set to begin at the end of May.

Construction on all of these roads should wrap up in late June or Early July but expect delays on these roads during the construction times!

Thank you to Pro Cooperative, Land O’Lakes, CHS and CoBank. We are incredibly grateful for your generous donations made to our department.

Pro Cooperative helps our local communities!

Earlier this spring, Pro Cooperative’s Gracie Jackson presented a donation to the Plover Fire Department. Thanks to the generous support of our partners—Land O’Lakes, CoBank, and CHS—the cooperative’s contribution was matched by all three organizations.

The funds will be used to support the purchase of new equipment and gear for firefighters who have recently joined the department.

Dangerous fire weather conditions expected on Wednesday! Relative humidity will fall to around 15% with winds gusting to 45 mph. Take steps to prevent fires: avoid burning, don’t carelessly discard ci******es, and use caution with outdoor and farm equipment.
