We are once again happy to host a training seminar in Pleasantville NJ and this year we are going bigger. You asked for it, we brought it, 1 full day of lectures followed by a social directly after at the same location.

We have 4 incredible speakers, Micky, Matty, AJ & Larry all bring true street experience based presentations and at $65 for the full day including the after party you can’t pass this up.

The 9/11 Bell of remembrance

In 2025 the What Exit Fools chapter took over the responsibility of preserving the Bells of remembrance from the First State Fools chapter based in Delaware.
⠀
This memorial was the idea of Brother David Schlatter a priest who wanted to honor his late friend and mentor Fr Mychal Judge. The bell was created by the McShane Bell Foundry in Wilmington Del and honors the 343 FDNY members. 23 NYPD, and 37 PAPD officers killed on 9/11/01

The What Exit Fools chapter has spent countless hours maintaining and updating this memorial and has recently been able to display it out several events including the NJ firefighter’s weekend in Wildwood NJ.

We look forward to preserving this beautiful memorial and continuing to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day in 2001

Last week during the International FOOLS Convention in St Louis What Exit chapter member Matthew Paglione was presented the 2026 Dana Hannon Award. This award was presented by the International Executive Board to Matt for the work he has done not only for our chapter but for others around the country and Canada.

The Dana Hannon award is presented to a FOOLS member who shows the true passion for training his brother and sister firefighters. Through training, we can ensure that our brothers and sisters will have the knowledge and skills that will protect the on the job.

During the New Jersey State Firefighters convention in Wildwood, the What Exit Fools chapter hosted 2 events to support the brotherhood and promote training

On Friday we hosted Capt Bryan Emenecker at the convention center as he presented Mastering the basics. The turnout was beyond expectations for this energetic and informative program.

On Saturday we hosted the annual FOOLS bash at Sandy Boots Saloon. This event brought together brothers from across the garden state and beyond to network over some beverages.

While there is way too many people to thank these events wouldn’t have been possible without the help of FMBA local 50 and our incredible sponsors.

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls we are just 5 days out from our lecture in Wildwood and our friends BDTW LLC have stepped up to sponsor 5 individuals to attend the class on Sept 18th. Better odds than any game on the boardwalk, 5 individuals will be chosen randomly and when they check in Friday morning their registration fee will be handed back to them.

On Saturday July 25th several members of the What Exit Fools chapter joined the firefighters from around the garden state at Glendola fire company in Wall for a lecture series featuring 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥 , Anthony Rowett , and Pete Partridge . This Engine/Truck seminar provided lots of great nuggets of information and some interesting stories. Special thanks to Glendola Fire Company No. 1 for the hospitality
