🙏 A Teacher Is Needed — Will You Pray About Being the One?

As we prepare for another year of LifeWise at Fairfield Union, we have one very important need remaining in Pleasantville: we need a 3rd grade teacher.

We have the students. We have volunteers ready to help. What we still need is someone willing to step into the classroom each week and teach these children the Word of God.

Right now, our existing leadership is looking at rotating this class among several people who are already carrying full schedules in order to make sure these students are served. We are willing to do what is necessary temporarily—but a rotation is not the answer. We need a teacher.

Jesus said:

“The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
— Matthew 9:37–38

We are asking you to help us pray specifically for that laborer.

And while you pray, would you also ask the Lord, “Could it be me?”

You do not have to be a professional teacher. You need a love for Jesus, a heart for children, and a willingness to faithfully serve. Curriculum, training, volunteers, and support are provided.

There is a classroom of 3rd graders in Pleasantville who need someone willing to show up each week and tell them about Jesus. ❤️

🙏 WILL YOU PRAY WITH US? ❤️

As we prepare for another year of LifeWise, we are asking our community to surround this ministry in prayer.

Please pray for our teachers and volunteers as they prepare to share the Gospel with children each week. Pray that God gives them wisdom, love, patience, and the right words for every child who walks through our doors.

🌱 Pray that seeds of the Gospel will be planted deep in young hearts—seeds that will continue to grow long after a lesson is over.

🏠 Pray that what these children learn about Jesus will reach beyond our classrooms and into their homes and families.

❤️ Pray for the children who may hear about the love and hope of Jesus in a new way this year.

And pray that God will provide the teachers, volunteers, and prayer warriors needed to make this year possible. Not everyone is called to stand in front of a classroom, but everyone can have a part in reaching the next generation.

We are still looking for a few more people to join our LifeWise team! Most opportunities require only about 2 hours of your time each week, lessons and materials are provided, and you will have support along the way.

If God has been nudging your heart to get involved, there is still time to apply. ❤️

📚 LifeWise Enrollment is Open!

Do you have a Fairfield Union student in Kindergarten through 4th grade? We’d love to have them join us for another exciting year of LifeWise Bible education!

👉 New students and students who did not attend last year should enroll now.

👉 Students who attended LifeWise last year are already enrolled and do not need to register again.

No, while LifeWise is held during the school day, it does not interfere with students’ mandatory courses. The class schedule is set by school personnel in consultation with LifeWise representatives. Classes are held during non-core academic periods, such as during lunch or electives.

You’re not alone! Many people are interested but hesitate because they don’t know what to expect.

If there’s enough interest, we’d love to host a casual informational session where you can:
• See what a typical class looks like.
• Learn how lessons are organized.
• Ask questions.
• Hear about the support and training that’s available.
• Learn what it’s like to serve as a LifeWise teacher—whether you’re interested in a volunteer or paid position.

LifeWise is a wonderful opportunity to share God’s Word with local students during the school day, and we’d love to help you determine if it’s a good fit for you.

We’re praying for God to raise up five new teachers before the school year begins. Could one of them be you?

God is at work in the Fairfield Union school district, and we need more teachers to help bring Bible education to local students during the school day.

☀️ LifeWise may be finished for the school year, but sharing the Gospel with children doesn’t stop when the final class ends. ☀️

One of the greatest blessings of our community is the many churches, ministries, and volunteers who continue pouring into the next generation all summer long.

What a year it has been for LifeWise Academy!

As our 2025–2026 school year came to a close on May 1st, we’ve been reflecting on all God has done through LifeWise this year. From Bible lessons and scripture memory to games, laughter, friendships, character building, and meaningful conversations — it has been a joy to watch students grow each week.

A special congratulations to our 4th graders, who celebrated their final year of LifeWise with a pizza party! We are so proud of them and thankful for the time we’ve had investing in their lives. We pray the truths they’ve learned continue to stay rooted in their hearts for years to come. 🍕❤️📖

We are incredibly thankful for our teachers, volunteers, donors, prayer partners, bus drivers, schools, churches, and families who make this ministry possible. It truly takes a community.

Even though this school year has ended, we are already excitedly looking ahead to next year and all that God has in store! Thank you for being part of the mission of bringing the Gospel to students during the school day.
