We had the absolute honor of unboxing a fresh haul of bilingual books for our children in Alameda County—with a special message from Susie Jaramillo, Creator of Canticos!💛

As an artist, entrepreneur, and mom, Susie created Canticos to bring the cherished songs and stories of her childhood to a new generation of bilingual learners.

A huge thank you to Susie, Canticos World | Los Pollitos Dicen Pío Pío Pío, and Encantos for partnering with us! In this video, Susie shares why diverse representation in early childhood education matters so much, and highlights Hively’s 50 years of advocating for inclusion, Spanish language access, and community impact across Alameda County🐝💛

We had such an incredible time celebrating Measure C's First Year Community Celebration at Children’s Fairyland in Oakland alongside First5 Alameda County! 💛🐝

Throughout the evening, we were honored to connect with local families, dedicated child care providers, community partners, and local dignitaries who all share one common vision: ensuring every child in Alameda County has the opportunity to thrive.

Building a strong community takes all of us, and Measure C is paving the way for a brighter future for early childhood care and education across our county.

We were proud to be onsite with the Hive on Wheels doing what we do best—distributing free diapers, wipes, children’s clothing, books, and more resources to local families!

Honey & the Hive on Wheels took over VFCCA’s Family Fair! 💛🐝

What an incredible day celebrating our community in Dublin last Saturday! The Hive on Wheels rolled in packed with free diapers, wipes, clothing, and books—and Honey was in high demand taking photo ops with all our amazing kiddos and families! 📸💛

For years, VFCCA (Valley Family Child Care Association) has been an incredible partner in our mission. We are so proud to stand alongside them to uplift, empower, and support our dedicated local child care providers who keep our village running strong.
