In early August, five Troop 15 Scouts and troop leaders completed over 50 miles with the Troop 15 High Adventure program - backpacking, camping and fishing across the stunning Kings Canyon National Park Rae Lakes Loop. 🔦🏕️✨

Over the course of 7 days, Scouts traversed 6,000 feet of elevation through summertime alpine mountains, lakes, meadows, and a brilliant night sky.

After going over Glenn Pass at 11,980 ft. the Scouts spent the day assisting park rangers restoring campsites at nearby Bullfrog Lake, completing the requirements for the 50-Miler Award. An exceptional experience with memories for life!

Meet the Troops Night is coming up on 10/13 from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM‼️

If your AOL Scout is getting ready for the next step, or your family is interested in joining Scouting, this is a great evening to meet many of our San Francisco and Daly City Troops in one place.

Families will be able to learn about:
- meeting nights and locations
- attendance expectations
- summer camp plans
- the unique activities and focus of each Troop

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and meet both adult leaders and youth leaders. Our Sea Scout Ships will be there as well to share information about programs for older youth ages 14+.

Please come in Class A / field uniform. A flashlight and water bottle are recommended.

Be prepared to have fun!

Chartered by Mission Dolores Academy, Pack 11 is the first Cub Scout Pack in the Mission District in more than 40 years, and it is already growing with 21 Cubs and strong momentum. 💛 💙

Many of these Scouts took part in our Summer Day Camp at Aquatic Park, and the Pack is also having great success with popcorn sales. That kind of energy reflects the work that began 16 months ago with many supporters, including the Mission Dolores Academy Board and the Rotary Club of San Francisco.

With steady mentorship and program planning support, this Pack is creating a strong foundation for Cub Scouting in the neighborhood.

It is exciting to see Cub Scouting growing in the Mission District once again.
