We have lots of boutqiue photos to share, but we just celebrated our Midori Kai 30th anniversary last weekend by just being together! We'll take a 'pause' and regroup before we return to thank you for the boutique memories!

The flexiblity of the 30th anniversary weekend allowed us to see Directors, enbrace the history of the Japanese in Monterey at the musuem in the JACL building, and celebrate the origins of Midori Kai through a slide show video and a Thank you to co-founder Joyce! A memorable weekend and respite from the Bay Area heat!

It is a few days after our Midori Kai Arts & Crafts Boutique and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support for attending our Boutique and patronizing our vendors, drawings and meeting our Grantees.

It was a beautiful and breezy day, and we hope that you enjoyed the delicious food vendors and unique Arts & Crafts!

Same Place, Same Time!

In less than 12 hours, we'll be open for business! The weather is expected to be nice tomorrow and we can look forward to:

- Over 90 vendors; 20 of which are food related (including 4 food trucks!). The other +70, are Artists & Crafters, many with unique and one of a kind products!
- Presentation of our Grants to 5 fantastic Non Profit organzations throughout the Bay Area! Be there at Noon to cheer on our awardees! They will also have table displays so you can learn more about their programs. 100% of our proceeds are directed to our endowment so we can support non profit organizations every year!
- Hawaiian music from the 'Hardly Strictly Hawiian Band'.
- Our Silent Auction is BACK! Check out original art (including paintings and dolls), back to back SF Giants vs LA Dodgers-the last games of the season! And-an ukulele! Don't wait until the end of the day: Last Bid is at 3:00PM!
- A drawing with over a hundred prizes throughout the day!!! Didn't pre-purchase tickets from a Midori Kai Director? You can still get your tickets at the Boutique!
- Plenty of parking and lots of tables and seating . . . because we know that you want to take a break and have a place to see and chat with your friends! Or just relax and enjoy the day!

Ukulele Source of San Jose Japantown's generosity, is showcased in this Silent Auction delight! Be sure to attend the Midori Kai on Saturday, Sept 12: to see this and all of our other amazing and rare Silent Auction offerings: including a custom quilt, 2 sets of SF Giants vs LA Dodger tickets (the last games of the season!), 2 original paintings and a Kabuki handmade doll!

A work in progress, and-it could be yours at the Silent Auction at our Midori Kai Arts & Crafts Boutique! This quilt is being made specifically for the Midori Kai Arts & Crafts Boutique by one of talented Directors, and it is going to be amazing! Made with fabric from Japan and the US, we can hardly wait to see it!
