Did you know that 100% of our Midori Kai Arts and Crafts Boutique proceeds goes to our endowment fund? In 2026, we provided grants to two of our Midori Kai programs: the Non Profit Grant Recipients (two year award) and our Trailblazers Honoree's selected non profits!

This year, we have been challenged to raise funds of up to $25,000 to receive a matching grant by the end of September 2026!

We are happy to promote 'Cards For a Cure' at the Midori Kai Arts & Crafts Boutique on Sept 12! Their hand crafted cards are not only unique, but 'make a difference'!

Cards for a Cure makes handcrafted greeting cards for various occasions such as birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, thank you, wedding, sympathy, and more.

Most of their sales are donated to the Relay for Life Campbell, which benefits the American Cancer Society. They are a team of five cardmakers who volunteer their time, effort, and materials to this cause.

Our toffee is made in small batches, ensuring consistency and quality. Our innovative family team is always looking to create wonderful new flavor combinations.

Valley Toffee flavors include Original Peanut, Cashew, Semi-sweet Chocolate pretzel, Butterscotch Pretzel, Dark Chocolate Mocha, Dark Chocolate Strawberry and many more. We have created a product called Leav’ns for the original toffee that is small pieces of toffee, chocolate and nuts for ice cream or baking.

It is exactly ONE MONTH from our Midori Kai Arts and Crafts Boutique! And, we have exactly one month to achieve our matching fund goal! This year, a kind and generous donor has offered to match any donations up to $25,000! 2026 is a big year for us as we turn 30 years old as a women's professional organization! Through the years, we have worked to contribute over $180,000 to a variety of non profit organizations.

At the Midori Kai Arts & Crafts Boutqiue on Sept 12, not only will we have on-site food trucks and other foods to enjoy on site-we also have special foods that are unique to keep or to gift! One of those food vendors will be Shared Cultures!

Shared Cultures is a San Francisco-based fermentation company specializing in small-batch miso, shoyu, and umami seasonings. Founded out of a love of foraging wild mushrooms in Northern California's forests, a curiosity for koji and fermentation has shaped everything they've made ever since — rooted in seasonal ingredients from local farmers practicing sustainable and regenerative agriculture. Their farm-to-ferment creations, inspired by traditional methods and the diverse food cultures of the Bay Area, have earned a place in the kitchens of Michelin-starred chefs and home cooks alike.

We are so excited that the Midori Kai, Inc Arts and Crafts boutique will soon be upon us! We have nearly 80 vendors of Arts and Crafts (about one third of them are NEW!) and food related vendors. In addition to our amazing raffle, due to the generosity of so many kind people, we've aded a Silent Auction-you will definitely want to check this out.

But, it is our artists and crafters who bring so much to our boutique. We look forward to highlighting our artist and crafter profiles between now and boutique time!

Monolisa Designs will be one of our vendors and these are carefully custom designed products: wearable art including handbags, and jewelry. Lisa Ramos is a California artist and we can't wait to see what she will show at our boutique!

We honor our last and fifth non profit recipient, Yu-Ai Kai Japantown Community Senior Center as they honor our elders by with our grant going to their contribution to the Japantown Keiro Kai event. 'Keiro' is a holiday and celebration in Japan to 'respect the elderly'. So many traditions inspire us-this is one of them!

Yu-Ai Kai – Serving the community with friendship and love for over 50 years to promote healthy aging, successful independent living, and advocate for all seniors, while embracing Japanese American tradition.
