During the Alameda County Fair Foundation's annual Garden Party, California Grown helped us present our 2026 International Year of the Woman Farmer Awards, recognizing leaders whose contributions continue to strengthen agriculture, food systems and rural communities across the state.
⭐Dr. Mary Blackburn was honored for Enhancing Food Security, recognizing decades of work improving nutrition education and access to healthy food.
⭐The 3 Calhoun Sisters, who own 3 Calhoun Sisters Ranch, received the award for Sustainability, Farming Legacy & Economic Resilience, highlighting their commitment to conservation, ranching and preserving agricultural traditions.
⭐Carolyn Wente, CEO of Wente Vineyards, was recognized for Leadership in Agrifood Systems, celebrating a career that helped shape California's wine industry and inspire future leaders.

Congratulations to these outstanding women and their well-deserved recognition.
