Thank God for an awesome weekend!
We cooked the 2nd Annual Bandera County Chamber of Commerce BBQ Cookoff.

We got to see our bbq friends and family, had a great Friday night dinner at Trail Boss
The pressure was on Saturday morning as we were trying for a repeat of last years RGC. We had our lucky charm with us again this year, our grandson and newest Little Kyotee, Rhett.

Our cook went well despite stormy weather and rain we wound up with
15th Fowl Play Chicken
8th Prairie Fresh Rib
14th Prairie Fresh Pork
2nd Imperial Wagyu Beef Brisket with that Regi-Q BBQ Ringer seasoning!
Landing us 4th overall out of 66 teams and a 777 club sticker.
Congratulations to my buddy Richard Garcia Turnd up Bbq on the well deserved GC & Congrats to
Jimmy Spruill on the RGC.

The Bandera Chamber team did an awesome job putting together such a well ran cookoff weekend, thanks for having us!

I’ll take it as a good sign when the brisket throws in the towel!

I’m a little late this week!
Kyotee Kookers went over to Jourdanton and cooked the 36th annual VFD cookoff. We had a good day and turned in some solid proteins.
4th chicken
5th Prairie Fresh ribs
9th pork
4th Peeler Farms brisket
For a 7th overall finish

The highlight was watching my sister & brother in law win their first Reserve Grand Championship! They’ve been grinding steady for the past couple maybe even 3 years and it’s finally paying off!! I couldn’t cheer louder for them!!

Orlando Carrasco also had a great day winning a buckle and 4 calls as well!

Congratulations to my favorite German Uwe Braun and BeerBelly bbq on his Grand Champion!

All in all a great day for comp bbq!
Laura Louise with Champions Barbecue Alliance ran a great judging area as well!

See yall down the road!
