Light Up Pleasanton
Light Up Pleasanton began as one local man’s hope - to bring back the Christmas Spirit to his small hometown - that seemed to have lost it’s spirit. What began as putting up strands of Christmas lights on a few local homes and businesses - quickly turned into much, much more. Community members, student athletes, local business owners and families began volunteering their time, countless hours, to quite literally, “Lighting Up Pleasanton.” Newspaper articles, New Reporters began catching word of the small town vision and begore you know it - Light Up Pleasanton wasn’t just one man’s hope - It was one town’s vision.
These lights brought a town festival. One that packed the streets and encouraged smiles and fellowship heard miles around. Holiday music, Santa himself, laughter and holiday cheer returned to the streets of Pleasanton, Kansas. The lights created memories of children gazing at the holiday displays, families spending hours together driving around to take in the wonder of December and so much more. They brought in countless donations and hours of volunteers working together, hoping to make a small difference in our town.
As the holiday season came to an end in 2018, and the lights began to come back down around Pleasanton - We began to reflect on and say thank you to those who were right here to help see it through.
Thank you for following our page. Thank you for supporting our dream, and above all - Thank you for Lighting Up Pleasanton.
The beginning was nothing short of wonderful, setting the bar high and beyond our expectations. We are more motivated than ever - to keep this Christmas Tradition alive and to continue sharing this small town - Holiday Spirit.
