Our mission is to bring love, joy, and comfort to newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients and their families by giving them a gift basket full of age appropriate toys, gift cards and a tablet. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Charity Number 84-3580697) in Scott Kienhofer's memory. Our goal is to help pediatric cancer patients and their families by giving them a gift basket full of age

appropriate toys, gift cards and a tablet. Scottie's Gift Foundation was created by the Kienhofer Family to honor their son and brother, Scott Kienhofer. On May 1st, 2017 Scott was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. While he was receiving treatment at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Scott decided he wanted to give gift baskets to children fighting cancer in order to ease their stay at the hospital. Scott wrote up his plan and shared it with his family while going through treatment. Sadly, Scott passed away on March 12, 2018, but he left behind his vision for Scottie's Gift Foundation. The Kienhofer family is proud to carry out his dream.

A huge thank you to the A’s for choosing Scottie’s Gift Foundation as the nonprofit partner for the July 18th game! 💚⚾️

It was an incredible day at the ballpark, made even more special watching one of our basket recipients, Jaden, throw out the first pitch. Moments like these are what Scottie’s Gift is all about, creating unforgettable experiences and bringing some joy to kids and families when they need it most.

We’re incredibly grateful to the A’s for supporting our mission and giving Jaden and his family a day they’ll always remember.💚💚

Today we’re delivering 15 Scottie’s Gift baskets to families who need a little extra support, 7 to Stanford and 8 to Oakland.

Each basket is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can bring comfort during difficult times. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us make these deliveries possible. Together, we’re spreading a little hope, one basket at a time! 🧡

“On Friday my son received one of Scottie’s baskets! He’s been in treatment at Stanford since May 11 for ALL. It was such a pleasant surprise like an angel just bopped into our room right when he needed it. He was having a ruff day and then they told him his blood infusion was going to take 2 1/2 hrs.. even I was starting to let the sadness creep in and then boom the door opens with the most amazing basket! The look on his face and pure joy was priceless! And when he found that ipad in there!!:) It changed his whole outlook on the day! Turned it around completely. I can’t thank you and your son enough for the work you do. It truly is amazing. Thanks for letting him be a part of it. Xoxo Mom“

Thank you to Kendra Scott Walnut Creek for hosting a fundraiser in support of Scottie’s Gift. It was especially meaningful that five of Scottie’s nurses were able to stop by and show their support, it meant so much to have them there with us. 🧡

Today would have been Scottie’s 26th birthday.

Not a day goes by that we don’t miss his smile, his heart, and the light he brought into every room. But even in his absence, Scottie’s vision continues to guide everything we do at Scottie’s Gift. 🧡

This month and especially today, we celebrate Scottie, his life, his compassion, and the impact he still has on so many families facing childhood cancer.

In honor of his 26th birthday, we’re asking our community to donate $26 to help continue the mission he inspired. Every dollar helps bring light, hope, and support to families who need it most.
