Final Night — tonight, we closed this 15-night tribute with Dr. Brett Cox, who served as the U.S. Army’s Chief Orthodontist in Japan and sponsored the flag drop ceremony.
The light he lit tonight represents every sacrifice, every story, and every heart honored along the way.
Thank you, Dr. Cox, for your service, and for helping this light reach all who needed it. 🇺🇸

Night 14 — We were honored to have PFC Darrell Call, who served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, light the Major flag.
His generation carried burdens that shaped a nation, and we are grateful for every sacrifice made.
Thank you, Darrell, for your service and your light. 🇺🇸

Night 12– Army and Navy united.
Jeff and Christa lit the Major flag, reminding every veteran that none of us are ever alone.
The military is more than service, it’s a lifelong family🇺🇸

Night 10– Tonight, Sergeant Bryan Becherini and his family lit the Major flag. A tribute to every veteran and the loved ones who serve alongside them.

The mountain lit up tonight in red, white, and Marine Corps pride.
We celebrated the 250th Marine Corps Birthday with the LavaLava Foundation, honoring the few and the proud who have served with courage and heart.
Semper Fi — the light burns on. Oorah! 🇺🇸

Night 9 — the Major flag was lit by LTG (Ret.) Walt Piatt, U.S. Army, with the Wounded Warrior Project.
He said it best: “It shouldn’t be harder to come home from war than to go.”
Thank you, General, for your service and for standing for every warrior who still carries the fight within. 🇺🇸

Night 8– tonight, the Major flag was lit by Weber High School Principal Ryan Kachold, Vice Principal Ryan Gross, and Principal Kachold’s father and brother, Ken Kachold Sr. and Ken Kachold Jr, all proud military veterans.
Together, they represented leadership, service, and family. values that shine as bright as the flag they lit.
Thank you for your service to our nation and your continued dedication to our community. 🇺🇸

Night 7– The Major was lit by CH (CPT) Tyler King and his wife, Amanda King. Thank you both for bringing hope and love to all who serve.

Night 6– Utah Highway Patrol flew in strong; lighting the flag from the sky. Trooper Edward Keough, who has also served as a Specialist in the Army National Guard, carried it forward, turning the spotlight on from the ground. Two uniforms. One purpose. 🇺🇸
