THE FACTS:
▪️ Phones plus transit vouchers and rideshares like Uber and Lyft
▪️ Covers rides to doctor appointments, court, housing and legal meetings
▪️ Also allows food, clothing and blankets for safety and survival
▪️ Runs through September 30, 2027
▪️ Last time: 44,000 veterans, 494,000 rides
▪️ Veteran homelessness is at its lowest count since 2009

Whenever we are on the road helping veterans I have appointments within the VA healthcare system as a traveling veteran. I’m thankful for that, as it helps me keep up with my healthcare needs while supporting and backing fellow veterans concerns regarding VA healthcare. I’m happy to report that Dr. Golden at Overton Brooks caught eye concerns previously missed and is quick to get them resolved.

Waiting for Hot Dog 🌭 meals to distribute to homeless veterans today. Thankful to the manager, Patrick, at Costco in Pleasant Prairie Wi for helping to facilitate this. 🇺🇸🎄 Warm meals instead of just handing out PB&J sandwiches.🥪

Maurice’s is accepting donations on our behalf for our Winter 🥶 Warmth drive. Socks, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets, fleece-lined leggings, thermal underwear, hand and toe warmers, as well as dark blankets etc.

Many veterans in our community face homelessness and harsh winter conditions. Cold exposure can quickly become life-threatening, especially for those coping with service-connected injuries, chronic illness, or trauma.
Your donation provides more than warmth - it offers dignity, comfort, and a reminder that our veterans are not forgotten.
