The new school year is underway at Sorbonne Christian Academy! We are thankful for a good start, and for all that God is doing through the school. Please continue to pray for protection of the school community, and for a great year of learning, growing, and sharing the love of Jesus!

Thank you for your prayers for the start of a new school year. We have much for which to thank God! Please continue to pray for Sorbonne Christian Academy throughout the school year.

Please pray for God’s protection over the school, our children, staff, teachers, parents, and families. Pray for good health, safety, peace, unity, and wisdom throughout the entire school year.

Please pray that this will be a fruitful and successful year, with a strong learning spirit among the children. Pray that our students will grow in knowledge, discipline, respect, and confidence, and that our teachers and staff will have the wisdom, patience, strength, and compassion to guide them.

Also pray for God’s guidance over every decision and every activity throughout the year. May He provide everything the school needs and help us create a safe, peaceful, and positive environment where every child can learn and grow.

School starts tomorrow morning (September 7) at Sorbonne Christian Academy in Haiti! 🎒🇭🇹

Would you join us in praying for the year ahead?

Dear Lord, we lift up the school community at SCA as they begin a new school year. Fill the classrooms with love, joy, and peace. Comfort the anxious, encourage the timid, give hope to the struggling, and protect them from harm. Guide the teachers in their instruction; help them be diligent in preparation, and patient and wise in their teaching. May they share the love of Jesus with the students in word and in deed. Give wisdom to the administrators and peace to the parents who send their children each day.
In the powerful name of Jesus we pray.
Amen.

Please join us in praying for the people of Haiti. There was a horrific attack in Kenscoff, Haiti this week in which at least 47 people were killed, more than 50 were reportedly kidnapped, and many others were displaced. Our hearts ache for the people who were directly impacted by this tragedy and for all of Haiti as they long for peace, safety, and the freedom to live without fear.

Did you know that more than half of Haitians face acute food insecurity? Nearly 2 million people are experiencing emergency levels of hunger.

Wanja Kaaria, World Food Programme Country Director and Representative in Haiti, warns, "Fighting hunger is fundamental to restoring stability in Haiti. Peace cannot be built if families are unable to feed their children. Emergency food assistance is the first line of defense, while rebuilding local food systems offers hope for the future."

Through your support of Operation Outpour, we share the love of Jesus in word and deed. Our students are provided with nutritious meals throughout the school week. On weekends, we extend that ministry by serving meals to the surrounding community. Thanks to your generosity, about 300 people receive a meal each Saturday and Sunday.

To help address the long-term challenge of food insecurity, Sorbonne Christian Academy also offers an agriculture program where students grow food and families learn sustainable farming practices that can help nourish their communities for years to come.

Will you join us in building hope for Haiti? Click the link in our bio to learn more and help provide food, education, and hope.
