🌍✈️ Around the World is coming! ✈️🌍

Join us for one of our most exciting and delicious homeschool events of the year!

Around the World invites students to explore and present any country they choose. Kids can share customs, fun facts, landmarks, traditions, clothing, language, or anything that sparks their curiosity and interest.

One of the highlights everyone looks forward to each year is sampling foods from around the world! Families are welcome to bring a dish to share that represents their chosen country, but bringing food is completely optional. The heart of this event is celebrating cultures, creativity, and learning from one another.

We love seeing the pride and excitement students bring as they share their discoveries and teach their friends something new. It truly feels like traveling the world together in one joyful afternoon 🌎💫

We can’t wait to see where everyone takes us this year!

Mount Vernon is dedicated to teaching people around the world about the life and legacies of George Washington. Our educational resources are designed to support further exploration into Washington’s world both in and out of the classroom.

We had such a fantastic planning session, and I am so excited to share that WCPA Homeschoolers is heading back into our Friday co-op sessions (starting at 1:30)! ✨

This semester we’ll be beginning inside with kitchen skills — learning to measure, mix, chop, bake, and build confidence in the heart of the home 🍞🧑‍🍳

As the season warms, we’ll transition outdoors and finish the semester with garden skills, tending, planting, and growing together 🌱

One of the things I love most about WCPA is our beautifully mixed-age community.
We have littles as young as 2 all the way through teens up to 16 — and our teen group has been growing in the most wonderful way 🤍
Older students naturally mentor, younger ones learn through watching, and everyone belongs.

Whether your child is just beginning to explore or ready to dive deeper into hands-on life skills, there is room for them here ✨

New families are always welcome, and we would love to grow our community this semester!

Come cook, learn, grow, and gather with us 🥣🌿

Just a reminder — there is NO co-op next week, but December is shaping up to be a truly festive month together! 🎄💫

🎀 12/5 – Old-Time Christmas Decorations
Step back into the charm of yesteryear as we make traditional holiday decor!

🎁 12/12 – Gifts for Nursing Home Residents
We’ll create thoughtful handmade gifts, then deliver them together on a date to be announced. A beautiful opportunity to spread kindness this season. ❤️

🍪 12/19 – Holiday Party & Gingerbread Cookie Decorating
Come celebrate, connect, and get creative with sweet treats!

We’d love to see everyone join in these upcoming celebrations. December is full of community, creativity, and holiday spirit — we hope you’ll be part of it! ❄️💚
