✨APPEAL Fellow - Minh Pham ✨

Minh Pham is a Vietnamese-American community advocate, student leader, and aspiring healthcare and public-service professional based in Orange County, California. Born in Vietnam and raised in a low-income immigrant household, Minh’s experiences navigating healthcare disparities, language barriers, and financial hardship shaped his passion for advocacy, civic engagement, and community service.

Growing up, Minh witnessed the sacrifices his parents made while adapting to life in the United States and building opportunities for their family. Minh has participated in a wide range of community and leadership initiatives focused on healthcare equity, public policy, youth engagement, and community outreach. He has worked with student organizations, nonprofit groups, and public-service initiatives involving health education, volunteer coordination, public relations, and bilingual outreach within diverse communities, particularly within the Vietnamese-American community in Orange County.

In addition to his community work, Minh is passionate about mentorship, leadership development, and encouraging greater civic participation among younger generations and immigrant communities. His interests include healthcare policy, public service, advocacy, and building stronger connections between underserved communities and public institutions.

Outside of advocacy and academics, Minh is also heavily involved in endurance sports, including marathons, triathlons, and hybrid fitness training. He often uses athletics as a platform to promote resilience, discipline, community-building, and health awareness.

Through both his personal experiences and professional involvement, Minh hopes to continue creating positive change by empowering underserved communities, increasing access to opportunities and resources, and helping build a more inclusive and engaged society.
