Hey everybody, sorry for the lack of updates, but here's some news from the MIC!

Easter Sunday, Michael Pittman will be presenting the first annual Sounds of 4/20, live bands and DJs. Ticket presales at $5, you can get them here: https://ticketriver.com/event/10508 otherwise they're $7 at the door. The event will be at Studio 925 on at 548 Contra Costa Blvd. Come out and show your support!

Other than that, we are also planning an upcoming open mic. Details TBA shortly!

And lastly don't forget to come out to our weekly meetings; Mon and Tue at 5pm in the DVC music building room M125! See you there!

Hey everyone! Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6pm in the business building room 125, the Broadcast Communcation Arts club is allowing us to sit in on them shooting a video. We are working on building a collaborative relationship with the group in order to put on more events in the future, so please come and show your support!

And again, on Wednesday at 4pm in the music building room 125, Michael Aczon will be giving a seminar on what makes a hit record! This is a wonderful opportunity to get a free lecture from Prof. Aczon, so be sure not to miss this!

Other than that, we'll have the regular club meetings on Monday and Tuesday in music room 127. Everybody should try to bring a guest, whether a new potential club member or just a friend who wouldn't mind sitting in; we love seeing new faces! See you this week!

Hey! Thursday the 6th will be another open mic night at Colorblind studios at 1476 Franquette Ave in Concord. We are looking forward to seeing everybody there again!

We are also planning a mixer event for the following Thursday the 13th. We still need to find a venue to host this event at, so if anybody has any good suggestions let us know! Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled and start looking; we only have a couple weeks to get this together and could use everybody's help to make this happen.

How's everybody doing today? Last week we became an official club! We'll be having our unofficial celebration of the occasion this Friday with Phi Beta Lamda, the business club. More details regarding the party will be shared during our club meetings this week, Monday and Tuesday ; remember that you just need to come to one meeting a week.

In the meantime, spread the word about the club! Invite as many people as possible to our weekly club meetings and try to get people interested. The more the merrier!

Hey everybody! Tomorrow (Thursday the 20th) at 3:30pm is the Inter-Club Council meeting, where a vote will be held to determine if we will be an official club or not this semester. If you have time in your schedules tomorrow please attend and show us your support!

Also, we had a meeting today and filled up our executive board! Say hello to Michael Pittman as our club President, with Lee Litvin as club Vice President, Robbie Schmitz as Secretary, John Veitch as Treasurer, Dante Pan as our ICC Rep, Arnisha Johnson as Public Relations Rep, Grant Gilreath as Logistical Analyst, Jake Bruzza as Committee Operations Officer, and Kyle Pippi as Web Operator. Together, we are working hard to bring the many talents of the DVC music department together and build positive relationships and networking for those already within the industry and for those still trying to break in.

And don't forget our next club meeting will be Monday , and then again on Tuesday . Please try and attend at least one of these meetings next week, but attending both is not necessary.

Hey guys! This week we have an open mic night this Thursday February 13th at 6pm called "Everything for Everyone." It is going to be located at Colorblind Studios. The adress is 1476 Franquette Ave, Concord, CA 94518.

As well we will be having our usual meetings on Monday and Tuesday at 5pm in the music building room 125. Just a reminder, you do not need to come to both meetings. We are also looking for volunteers to table during open time slots.

What's up everybody! The new semester is here!!! We are looking to put together events ranging from performances to volunteer opportunities that you can put on your college applications.
