Pleasant Hill 4th of July

This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Pleasant Hill 4th of July Celebration! The commission was started in 1976 to celebrate our country’s 200th birthday. We need you to join the commission to help plan the largest single-day event in the city! Attend our next meeting on Wednesday, January 21st at 7:00pm in the Large Community Room at City Hall or you can also contact us at [email protected] to learn more! See you there!

The Fourth of July commemorates the founding of the United States of America. While every year adds to the celebration’s legacy, we should never forget those whose vision and courage gave us this holiday.

Last minute preparations are complete! Don’t miss the Firecracker 5K presented by Jack’s begining at 8am, the Downtown Parade presented by Pleasant Hill Coin & Jewelry Exchange starts at 9:30am, and the Party in the Park at 10:30am. Finally, the Bay Area's premier fireworks viewing party begins at 6:00pm and fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:15pm. Spread the word and invite everyone to join in celebrating our nation's independence and our very special Pleasant Hil community! We’ll see you on the 4th!

Which school is going to win the Firecracker 5K Middle School Challenge? The winning school gets to hold on to the trophy until next year! The challenge: Which middle school will raise the most money? When you register for the 5K, as a fundraiser, you select which Pleasant Hill school gets your donation. Put your guess on which school wins in the comments We’ll find out on the 4th!

Zip Trips is coming to Pleasant Hill on the 4th of July! KTVU Fox Channel 2’s show ZipTrips will be broadcasting LIVE from Downtown Pleasant Hill at 9am. They will be showing our Downtown Parade presented by the Pleasant Hill Coin & Jewelry Exchange and spotlighting the amazing people and places that make Pleasant Hill so special.
