I attended Diablo Valley College for many years and a group of us in the Art classes formed a ‘ Club ‘ that we called CC-14 and for the month of April our CC-14 artists will be in ‘Fro’s Art Cottage in Concord - please come by and check it out and I think you will be glad that you did

For the month of June, please visit our duet show
Beautiful paintings by Nancy Robinson and stainless sculptures by Kurt Vorheis

Our show will be at the aRt Cottage located at 2238 Mt Diablo St , Concord , CA

We will be hosting a reception with wine and cheese on Thursday June 7th from 4:00 to 8:00pm

Gallery hours are: 9-5 Mon - Fri, Saturday and Sunday hours are 1-5.

Nancy Robinson

Nancy has been painting most of her adult life and has honed her talent through classes and workshops led by well-known artists such as Jade Fon and Mike Barnes at DVC as well as Arne Westerman, Skip Lawrence, Sherry Kwint-Cattache and Tesia Blackburn to name a few. She has always favored the human form in all its eccentricities. Currently she is working in watercolor and acrylic in an expressionistic / abstract form. Nancy works intuitively having collected many skills over the years. She lets the paint guide her hand keeping the logical head out of it. Painting is fun for her and she hopes that you enjoy her work.

Kurt Vorheis

Kurt is a self-taught ever-evolving artist, motivated with the goal of rendering simple natural forms, ideas and themes into both free-standing and hanging stainless sculptures. Kurt’s artistic interests are rooted in his family and his
father’s and grandfather’s painting. For Kurt, the creative instinct has taken form in his designing and creating three-dimensional stainless steel sculptures with varying textures and color via oxidizing processes.
