Every gathering of our Book Club is a treasure, but today was truly extraordinary and heartfelt as we celebrated the enduring legacy of our beloved friend and book club sister, Donna Rothe. Donna embodied the spirit of warmth, camaraderie, and joyous fellowship that defined our book club experiences. We're deeply grateful to her husband Robby, daughter Jaime, and granddaughter Mallorie for sharing this special moment with us as we turned the pages of one of Donna's cherished authors and savored her favorite treats. In a beautiful tribute, we signed a Brenda Gantt book, 'The Southern Mirror,' and dedicated it in loving memory of Donna to the Pleasant Grove Public Library. Heartfelt thanks to Paula Johnson and Mary Harden for making this moment so unforgettable. Mark your calendars for next month, June 17th, when we'll get into 'Twice' by Mitch Albom, expertly guided by Ione Lowrey.

The Summer Reading 2026 extravaganza kicks off on Wednesday, June 3 at 2:00 pm with Tommy Johns and his ridiculously fun Summer Reading Palooza! Our May Book Club will meet tomorrow at 10:00 am, led by Paula Johnson and Mary Harden, and we'll be taking a moment to remember our dear friend Donna Rothe. The library's got a ton of awesome events lined up and a fresh batch of reads to get your hands on. Come and join us!
