Coastal Cleanup Day at Dockweiler State Beach Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm. Come and join us! The participants are required to sign the liability waiver form.

California Coastal Cleanup Day is from 9 am to 12 noon on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Come and join us at Dockweiler State Beach at Imperial Hwy (Tower 54/55) on CCD! This cleanup site is run by Heal the Bay volunteers : )

(make sure to pick "Dockweiler State Beach") ! We'll have them at the beach. But, please print it out at home/work, sign it, and bring it with you. It'll speed up the registration process at the beach. You'll receive a link to the PDF file from Heal the Bay if you have registered through EventBrite. We'll post it here when it's available. Also, if you can, please bring your own gloves such as gardening gloves and a bucket! We'd like to reduce the trash! (we DO have some reusable gloves and bags though). We will set up the registration table on the sand next the 1st parking lot between the parking kiosk and the public restroom near Tower 55. When you go to the registration table, you are going to have to cross the BIKE PATH. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE BIKES! PLEASE DO NOT HANG OUT ON THE BIKE PATH. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE BIKE PATH! Bikes are faster than you think, and they can't stop as fast as you think. So please be very careful. We have great amenities at Dockweiler Beach!
1. Free parking at the beach parking from 8:30 am to 1 pm. please print out the permit and put it on your car dashboard: (TBA - we'll post a parking permit on our FB page)
2. Free restrooms and showers (cold) nearby.
3. Free drinking water, sunscreen, etc. behind the registration table. Bring your own water bottle!
4. Bike racks for your bikes near the restrooms. Please bring your own locks!
6. Raffle prizes!
7. Free smiles :)

What a day! 💙🌊

421 amazing volunteers came out to Dockweiler State Beach today, and together, we removed 257 pounds of trash! 🙌

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who got up early on a Saturday morning, showed up, pitched in, and helped make Coastal Cleanup Day 2026 at Tower 54 such a success!

Special thanks to Heal the Bay, Japan Business Association of Southern California, and PAVA World, and to Heal the Bay partners Corona and Ocean Conservancy for the awesome giveaways! 💙

And a HUGE thank you to our friends, family, captains, speakers, and mysterious benefactors who generously donated so many amazing raffle prizes. You know who you are! 😉

Good news: You can still come! 🎉

You do NOT have to preregister to participate. Just show up at the beach and sign the waiver online when you arrive. That’s it!

🚗 And don’t forget your parking pass!

It is now available in our bio! Just click the link there to download it, print it and bring it with you. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay the full $13 parking fee at the kiosk. 😬

So if it’s 11:30 Friday night and your friend suddenly says,
“I wanna come too!”

Tell them: YES, YOU CAN. 😎

Beach cleanups aren’t just about picking up trash. We can clean the beach today, but more trash will keep coming unless we stop it at the source.

Of course, safety is our top priority, but the Safety Talk is about more than just safety. It’s also about learning how trash reaches our beaches and ocean, and what each of us can do in our everyday lives to help prevent it.

So please give us just 5 minutes before you grab your cleanup supplies and head out to clean! What you learn during those few minutes can make an impact long after the cleanup is over. 🌊💙

When you arrive:
✅ Check in at Registration
🗣️ Join the Safety Talk
🧤 Pick up your cleanup supplies AFTER the Safety Talk
🌊 Then head out and clean the beach!

🕦 Return with your collected trash by 11:30 AM
⚖️ We’ll weigh all trash by 11:45 AM
🎟️ Raffles start at 11:45 AM

📝 Need community service credit?
We’ll sign your community service form AFTER THE CLEANUP.

Please give yourself a little extra time to park and walk over to Registration at Tower 54.
