And know that tomorrow is coming. For BLKPLATTCOM, tomorrow has already been here. We've been operating in an imaginative future alongside the community. The Black Platteville Community Network and its staple, Soul Food Saturday, have always been intentional and purposeful in their efforts, long before now. We've had to be, with predatory harm always lurking behind us. The déjà vu is so strong that tears haven't fallen from distress. Fear has been transcended for quite some time. Maybe it's relative privilege, ego, or perhaps the children of the world who remind us of the opportunities and responsibilities ahead.
Reserving these tears for the flowers we want to nurture with the collective on the other side. Chaos energies can't siphon the well-nurtured connections and collective care we share, and continue to extend to others beyond the shadows. BLKPLATTCOM isn't just an aspiration. It has always been timely will. Real regular people who see something wrong, and do something about it. Soul Food Saturday isn't just dignified meals. It's deeply embodied love, an imaginative future, good ass energy exchange, good s**t talking, great conversations, and so much more.
