The Platteville Chorale was founded in 1975 and has been under the direction of
Greg Dennis since 2001. A Platteville native, Greg Dennis lives in Mount Horeb and
taught choir for many years in the Mount Horeb schools. He also taught music education
and directed choirs at UW-Platteville in his retirement. Dennis directs the Platteville
Chorale each week in rehearsal on Monday evenings and enjoys adjudicating for WSMA,
serving as a church musician, and directing the Mount Horeb Chorale. Chorale members are from
throughout Southwest Wisconsin. The Chorale enjoys opportunities to perform for
audiences at UW-Platteville and in area churches. The Platteville Chorale provide opportunities for adults of all ages to make beautiful music. Drawing from Southwest Wisconsin, the group includes members from well over a dozen communities in the area. In 2015, the chorale celebrated a milestone of 40 years of singing.
