Another sad day !
Big boy Castle killed today for space in an overcrowded shelter because people do not know what the heck they are doing. When does it ever end ? 8 dogs needlessly killed in San Antonio today.

đź’” RAVE HAS BEEN LET DOWN AGAIN. đź’”

Rave is nearly 5 years old and has spent her entire life waiting for someone to choose her and mean it.

She was found abandoned in a cemetery in Aruba, struggling to survive while caring for her puppies. Thankfully, she was rescued and eventually made her way to Wisconsin, where she finally had a chance at a better life.

Recently, Rave was adopted and headed to what we hoped would be her forever home. Just two weeks later, she escaped the yard. Instead of helping her work through the transition, her adopters decided they don't want her back.

So once again, Rave is starting over.

Now safe at Doggy Has Soul Sanctuary in Illinois, Rave needs a temporary foster from June 12 through June 26—or even better, a foster-to-adopt or forever home.

Rave is a beautiful Great Dane/Plott Hound mix with soulful amber eyes and a heart that desperately wants to trust. She can be slow to warm up to new people, but considering everything she’s been through, can you blame her? Once she feels safe, she is loyal, loving, and incredibly special.

🏡 What Rave needs:
• An adult home willing to give her time to settle in
• No other animals
• A secure fenced yard
• Someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed

Rave doesn’t need perfection.

She just needs someone who won’t give up on her.

Please share Rave’s story. Her person is out there somewhere—we just need to help them find each other.
Rave belongs to PAWS PATH TO FUREVER rescue and they will process her adoption.
You can send me a private message and I will forward your request.

While at a store 2 months ago I ran into a lady that told me about her aggressive dog and that she can barely leave the house with him. That's no life to live.
I offered her to come in for a free evaluation and would love to help her. She never came to get him help. I know we are all busy, but that decision turned ugly and costly a couple of weeks ago when the dog bit someone again and broke skin. If that happens in our state this will be reported to Animal Control and the dog needs to stay at a facility for 10 days for what we call rabies observation.
Now your dog has an ugly entry with law enforcement.
She called me super stressed out looking for a place to take the dog in for he required 10 days. As much as I hated to not help, I had to turn her down because the dog was not up to date on its rabies vaccine ( the vets by law cannot give the vaccine until that observation is completed) and I could not house it here.
If you have a 'problem dog' get help before things escalate. I am sorry, if that sounds mean, but that is your responsibility as a dog owner. I have turned around many aggressive dogs. It is very well possible. Most of the time the dog acts out because the owner does not show good leadership in those scenarios.
This also goes for people owning dogs that have not bit anybody just yet. That luck will run out one day. Not because your dog is a bad dog, but because most dogs haven' been taught any boundaries.
I know you all love your dogs. That is not the question here, but you also need to protect it from making bad decisons. See less
