👍🏽This annual Tailgate tradition in memory of our late friend Jason Jenkins is a lot of fun and a great way for new members of our organization to bond.

Provide resources and support for members of the community to build and improve relationship.

✅ FOSTER UNDERSTANDING
Allow a safe space to foster deeper levels of understanding about diversity and inclusion.

🙏🏽On Nov 18, at IRCC Diwali, Broward County School Board members presented the Hindu community with a Resolution marking November as Hindu Heritage Month in the schools and acknowledging Diwali.

🪔During the month on November, students will learn about Hinduism and Diwali using toll kits created by CoHNA, take field trips to temples, attend festivals, and more.

🙏🏽On Nov 28, the school board will be hosting a public session to discuss school calendar options.

🙏🏽We need students and parents to sign up to attend and make public comments in support of Diwali for Nov 1 2024.

🔸On Dec 12, the board will vote on the final school calendar for 2024/2025

✅We need the Hindu community to send emails and make calls to their school board members requesting that Diwali be considered as an addition to the calendar. (See the contact list)

🙏🏽NetHP will continue to engage with our elected officials and community orgs so we can accomplish this goal in the near future.

🍭Spent a fun morning decorating our NetHP Candy Tree.

🍬Liam & Quinn Clayton were the best little helpers to hang donuts, cupcakes, and candy canes!

🍩Activities like these bring us closer, sharing the joys of the season while giving back.

🧁Come out to see this free family friendly exhibit, meet Santa, and enjoy our Diwali display.

🪔The Diyas that we light today are perfect symbols for our lives: ✨The clay pot: our community ✨the ghee: our family ✨the wick: the individual ✨the match: GOD ✨the flame: our purpose ✨the light: our essence 🙏🏽Together they each play a vital role to help each of us individually shine while being a purposeful part of the universal light. 🕉We were taught this through the Hindu epics, to hold all of these things dear and to strive for the greater good of all (Dharma) no matter where we are in life. 🔥May each of your flames shine brightly unto the world in service to others and in gratitude for life. 💪🏽Goodness will eternally triumph! 🕯We are happy to have each of you and NetHP as a platform to allow us to do good together. 🪔SHUBH DIWALI Everyone!
