From loving her glam to campus mail deliveries, Yasmine is ASC’s very own postal princess 💌. A member of the Ann Storck Center family since 2001, Yasmine began her journey in our 75th Group Home in Plantation before moving to Genesis on our Fort Lauderdale campus in 2024.

Yasmine, who has Cerebral Palsy, attends our Adult Day Training (ADT) program each day for art, music, and even zumba! Known for her love of all things sparkles, she enjoys shopping, going out to eat in the community, and expressing her personal style. Whether she’s carrying one of her favorite purses or adding the perfect touch of lip gloss, Yasmine always shows up looking her best.

A proud Leo (she celebrated her birthday this month!), Yasmine brings confidence, and a bright personality wherever she goes. Her special role on campus is delivering interoffice mail, making her a familiar and friendly face throughout ASC. As she makes her daily rounds, Yasmine enjoys connecting with staff and residents alike, spreading smiles and building relationships across campus.✨

We are lucky to have someone like Yasmine at ASC, who shares her abilities with our family every day and calls Ann Storck Center her home 🏠

A vision + an incredible community = something pretty special. 💙

What started as a vision from our CEO, Pat Murphy, for a more welcoming entrance to ASC became a true community effort.

This Family Friday we celebrate the local businesses and friends who stepped up with their time, talents, materials, and resources to transform the entrance to ASC, and we were so excited to officially cut the ribbon! As if the moment couldn’t have been more special, a rainbow appeared during the ceremony, making the celebration even more memorable. 🌈

A special thank you to Eddie Waters for helping bring Pat’s vision to life and rallying an amazing group of partners around ASC.

And thank you to Custom Homes by Eddie Waters, Progressive Plastering, Austin Fox Architecture, Dovetail Landscaping, and Designer Sign Systems, Inc. for showing us once again what happens when a community comes together.

This is community. This is partnership. This is the ASC family. 💚💙

Last week at SOS Children’s Villages Florida! 💙 We loved welcoming several incredible community partners to our Village, giving them the opportunity to learn more about our mission, meet our team, and see firsthand the impact their support can have on the children, young adults, and families we serve.

A special thank you to Pinnacle Insurance for taking the time to tour our Village and explore ways we can partner together to create brighter futures. We look forward to building a meaningful relationship with your team!

Thank you to Lakeview Loan Servicing for their generous donation of school, craft, and activity supplies. Community partners like you help provide stability, opportunity, and hope for the children we serve every day, and we are so grateful for your support.

We were also honored to welcome Jay Brandt and Jessy Allain from the George Snow Scholarship Fund. Strong partnerships like this are invaluable to our Next Steps Program, helping ensure our young adults have access to the educational opportunities, mentorship, and resources they need to thrive long after they leave foster care.

Finally, thank you to Ann Storck Center for visiting our Village and taking the time to learn more about our mission. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore how our organizations can work together to better serve children, young adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities throughout our community.

Together, these partnerships strengthen our mission and help create brighter futures for every child we serve. Thank you for being part of the SOS family! 💙

A proud smile that says, “I did it.”
A newly discovered passion.
A family that feels they found the right place for their child.
A team member showing up every single day, fully believing in their part to make the world better.

At Ann Storck Center, these moments are the heart of everything we do. We’re here every day to help discover abilities, foster independence, and celebrate every win, big or small in the developmental disability community.

This National Nonprofit Day, we want to lift up the incredible people who bring this work to life: our dedicated staff, loving families, caring volunteers, generous supporters, and wonderful community partners.

It takes a community to unlock what’s possible 🔓, so thank you for believing in every person’s ability to thrive. We simply couldn't do this without you, thanks for being a part of the ASC Village.🤗

🚢 Cruising for a purpose! 💙💚

We’re so grateful to Pack for a Purpose by Travel Elevates, in partnership with Cruise Planners, for choosing Ann Storck Center as the recipient of this thoughtful initiative.

Over the past three days, their team has been collecting much-needed donations of school supplies, backpacks, and new shoes for the children and families we serve. 🎒👟✏️

It’s more than a donation. It’s helping students start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported. Small donations make real moments happen for families.

Thank you to our new friends for making a difference and helping us pack a little more purpose into every journey this school year! 💙
