Good morning everyone! I would like to clear up some rumors and all the talk that is going around.
Turkey Creek is NOT folding, Turkey Creek is NOT going under!
In order to run a youth football and cheer organization there must be athletes, unfortunately with the economy and all the other conferences around with different rules, and different cut off ages, we unfortunately for this season have not had a tremendous turn out for sign ups. (Which is across the board in TriCounty). We are still there and we are still working behind the scenes to make the organization prosper and continue to grow.
With the number of athletes that had committed it would have been a safety issue in the weather to try to carry on, so instead of making these kids sit out a season we have decided to give them the opportunity to sign up elsewhere so they can play, we felt this was the best decision, this has NOT been an easy decision at all, but feel it is the right decision for now.
Last year there was a lot of unnecessary drama, those people have all left and no longer apart of Turkey Creek, so we will bounce back and will be enjoying the love of these sports together again, whether it's with Tri County or whether it's a new conference, we have got to figure it all out.
But please as far as all the rumors and the running and telling of stories, if you are NOT a current board member, or if you have not spoken to myself or Lorenzo Capitano or Kristin Galloway please don't spread the unnecessary drama. Please reach out to one of us and get the actual facts!
TCT is our home and always has been, we have NEVER left or ventured out anywhere else!!
Thank you for the many years, the dedicated ones, we have made some great memories and have met some wonderful people, whom have become extended family.
But it has start to start with loyalty! You must be willing to help and maintain through the good years and the tough ones!!
