Reminder from Plant City Police Department: It's important to note road closures along W. Reynolds Street from downtown west to the Strawberry Festival Grounds will begin closing at 8am and remain closed into the early evening.

Expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian congestion along with long delays due to roadway closures and detours. If you're coming out to watch the parade we look forward to seeing you! If you're passing on the parade this year the PCPD highly recommends avoiding the area due to expected traffic congestion.

The Strawberry Grand Parade is on Monday, March 3! 🍓

➡️ Roads around the parade staging area will close starting at 10:15 a.m. This includes all of Evers Street south of W. Dr Martin Luther King Boulevard.

➡️ Roads along the entire parade route will be closed at 12:00 p.m. and are expected to reopen around 3:30 p.m.

📍 The parade will begin at S. Evers Street/W. Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard traveling north. It will turn left to travel west on W. Reynolds Street to end just west of the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds.

If you will not be attending the parade, we encourage you to avoid the area. Plant City Police Department will be onsite to manage road closures and traffic.

The parade is organized and hosted by Berry Fine Productions Inc (not the City of Plant City Government).

We were filled with great sorrow yesterday when we heard the heartbreaking news of the passing of our dear friends, Randy and Jill Scott, and Jill’s sister, Judy Cook. As the voice of the Festival, Mr. Randy’s dedication to our 11-day event was immeasurable. From singing the National Anthem each morning to serenading us with Happy Trails each night, Mr. Randy’s song will forever be missed. He was a beloved employee of the Festival, where his time and talents were always put to great use. Everyone's admiration for Mr. Randy started with just him -- his sweet demeanor, steadfast spirit, quiet confidence, and genuine concern for others. Mrs. Jill was the jewel of Mr. Randy’s eye. If you could catch a glimpse of her, she would often be seen working fervently behind the scenes to help support her family. Her willingness to serve others and desire to show appreciation for others set her apart from the rest. The Scotts were true servants whose reach extended far behind the Festival grounds. Their presence will be greatly missed within our community. Please join us as we extend our deepest sympathy to their family, friends, and the Cook family.
