Formed in 2024 with support from David Walker, Kat Brake, and their families, the Sunshine Bluegrass Girls are eight talented musicians (ages 8–15) bringing fresh energy to traditional bluegrass.
🌟 Why They Shine - Though new, their harmony, skill, and joyful stage presence make every show unforgettable.
🎻 Keeping Tradition Alive - Inspired by young stars like Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle, they’re part of a new generation carrying bluegrass forward with heart and community.
👉 Perfect for festivals, churches, and family events. Their sound delights all ages!

🎶 Musical Entertainment Highlight – Charlie Boone 🎶
48th Annual Pioneer Day in Plant City, Florida

In Charlie Boone’s Own Words:
I’m a 3rd generation Plant City native who has been to Pioneer Day many times. My parents both attended the 1914 High School as well as many other family members. The Plant City downtown area has always been a big part of my life and I’m excited when I can play music for a hometown crowd. In the 1980’s my family had Christmas dinner in the 1914 Dining Room. I sang in the Historic 1914 PCHS Auditorium with chorus classes all through my school years. I’ve played bluegrass concerts with my friends there several times. In 2017 I played a solo show and raised over $1000 for the East Hillsborough Historical Society. Is that a humble brag? I don’t know, but it’s something. I’ve explored almost every room in the place. It’s a great building worth preserving and learning from, for hopefully, many years to come. Bring your friends and family, explore Plant City’s rich history and listen to good music all day! CFB

🎶 Musical Entertainment Highlight – Lucien Tender 🎶
48th Annual Pioneer Day in Plant City, Florida

In Lucien Tender’s Own Words:
Lucien Tender, Riverview. I picked up my first guitar in college from a pawn shop on Nebraska Avenue, but did not really get serious about learning until decades later. I was fortunate to fall into the local bluegrass music scene, and I was hooked. I soon found myself at jams and then playing in a band. I have played at the 1914 several times and always look forward to it. There is a strong sense of community at the events, and I get to spend time with other local musicians while supporting a good cause.
