The LAMP Project exists to help people hear, understand, and respond to the Word of God—especially in places where literacy is low and printed Bibles are scarce. Our mission is to bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus through God’s audible Word. By distributing durable, solar-powered audio Bibles and equipping churches with a simple, repeatable oral discipleship model, we help believe

rs grow stronger in their faith and share the gospel across their communities. For more than 40 years, Here’s Life Africa has worked to make Scripture accessible to people in their heart language. Today, The LAMP Project serves churches and partners across Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, and beyond—places where many believers cannot read or do not have access to a Bible. Through the use of audio Bibles, entire families and villages are hearing Scripture daily, often for the very first time. At the center of the ministry is the LAMP Method:
- Listen to God’s Word together.
- Ask simple, meaningful questions that open Scripture.
- Meditate on what God is saying and how it applies.
- Pray for transformation and obedience. This process is easy to learn, easy to replicate, and powerfully effective in oral cultures. It enables local churches to grow, multiply, and disciple new believers without relying on written materials or outside teachers. Every solar audio Bible placed in a community reaches multiple people over many years. With each device, new LAMP groups form, leaders emerge, and the gospel continues to spread. Our heart is simple: give God’s Word, guide people through it, and watch the Holy Spirit transform lives.

Eva is one year old. Her mother and aunt were the only two Christians in her entire village- before HLA came into town. After showing the Jesus Film, many people accepted Jesus as their Savior, and a LAMP Group with an audio Bible was started in her village.

Eva will grow up hearing about Jesus her entire life. She is now one of the youngest attendees in the LAMP Group in her village. There are currently 21 adults in their Group that meets under a tree on the crest of the mountain.

Christmas is full of surprise gifts - unexpected joys. The Lamp Project (part of Here's Life Africa, https://hereslifeafrica.org) has received a surprise $50,000 match challenge. Every dollar given by December 30, 2025 will be matched up to $50,000. If we hit our goal over 2,300 small groups of new believers will be able to hear God's word audibly through a solar powered audio Bible.

In the West, we have multiple bibles on our shelves, Scripture apps on our phones, even bibles in our hotel rooms. However, in remote areas of Tanzania, Malawi and Uganda, people are challenged with reading and if they can even afford a paper bible, it will quickly be ruined in the environmental conditions they face.

Would you help Here's Life Africa, bring the transforming power of God's Word to a village by providing a solar powered audio bible to a Christian leader who will gather villagers together to hear God's Word in their own language? One audio bible is $42 and you can give at https://audiobiblesafrica.org/

If you are able to share this page with your friends and family, we would be greatly appreciative.
