Today we remember our first responders, those who have gone before and those who serve now. Our West Campus collected snacks for Plano PD and Plano FD, Station 1, to show their appreciation for all they do for the residents. Their Service Coordinator, Vickie Harper, delivered the baskets today. Thank you for all you do Plano PD and FD!!

Our East Campus residents went back in time by attending their Senior Prom. Some never went to prom and others were able to reminisce about their high school years. Dressing up, enjoying one another's company and then dancing made for a special event. We even had a Prom King and Queen-Mr. Washington and Ms. McClure. Thank you to the East Campus staff and other staff for making this dream come to life.

On Friday, June 26, 2026 our East Campus hosted a Senior Prom for its residents. Residents were pampered by VXO Beauty Academy ..They received haircuts, updos, facials and got their nails done to prep for the prom. Residents then enjoyed a nice meal of chicken, pasta, salad and rolls provided by Married to the Flame.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing sponsors, Married to the Flame and VXO Beauty, for your generous support in making our Senior Prom such a special and memorable event for the residents of Plano Community Home! 💙✨

Our campuses are very diverse which allow us to learn about and celebrate with the many cultures which make up our communities. Today we had the privilege of celebration Nowruz with our residents, family and friends. Nowruz, also known as the Persian New Year, is one of the most ancient and widely celebrated festivals in the world. This vibrant and joyful occasion marks the beginning of spring and the renewal of life. Nowruz, which means “New Day” in Persian, has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in Iran and many other countries, including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and parts of Central Asia. With deep cultural and historical significance, Nowruz brings families together and symbolizes rebirth, hope, and prosperity.

Residents enjoyed going to the Heritage Farmstead for "Lights on the Farm". Some toasted Marshmallows and made s'mores while all had fun posing for pictures with the light displays.

Plano Metropolitan Ballet danced for the residents at West Campus. The four ladies dressed in red and white are "generational dancers and are moms with children and jobs. The younger ladies will one day perform just as the generational dancers do. The residents absolutely love attending this event. The attendance grows and grows each time the ballet visits. Thank you, Plano Metropolitan Ballet, for bringing Joy to West Campus this holiday season.

Jingle and Mingle was West Campus' theme for their Holiday get together. Residents enjoyed finger food, hot cocoa, holiday punch and taking pictures with Santa. It was also Santa's birthday, so all sang Happy Birthday to Santa. Lots of Mingling and Jingling was happening amongst the residents.
