“I learned how to product large scale fundraisers including creating budgets, negotiating with vendors, sponsorship development, and people management. I have since carried these skills to other organizations, helping to raise money through the community.” – Donna Ivy

You got the first gift. Now comes the part that too many nonprofits overlook.

Are your new North Texas Giving Day donors hearing from you beyond the standard tax receipt and
thank-you email?

The first few communications after a donor gives are an opportunity to show them what their
support made possible, introduce them to your organization, and give them a reason to stay
connected.

On October 22, Jenn Thompson will share practical strategies for turning first-time donors into
long-term supporters.

Come ready to rethink what happens after the gift.

North Texas Giving Day brought you new donors. Now what?

A first gift is exciting, but it’s just the beginning of the donor relationship. What you do in the days, weeks, and months after that first gift can determine whether a new donor gives again or quietly disappears.

Join us October 22 for Nonprofit Excellence Workshop: New Donor Engagement: Turning First-Time Gifts into Long-Term Relationships.

We’ll dig into practical strategies for welcoming new donors, creating meaningful touchpoints, and building an experience that encourages the second gift.

💫 Celebrating 50 Years of Service, Leadership, and Respect. This year, the Junior League of Collin County is proudly celebrating our milestone50th Anniversary – “Honoring our Legacy; Reimagining the Future.”As part of this anniversary milestone, we’re launching a special social media campaign inspired by the idea that all I Really Need to Know I Learned in Junior League.

Over the next several months, you will hear directly from our members – past and present – as they share the lessons, friendships, and experiences that shaped their journeys. Each story reflects the heart of our League: women building better communities through service, leadership, and respect.

Follow along as we celebrate five decades of impact and the incredible women who make it possible.

A warm meal, a welcoming table. That’s what our members help provide through JLCC’s partnership with Community Garden Kitchen, Collin County’s only free kitchen.

Community Garden Kitchen ensures that anyone experiencing food insecurity can sit down to a chef-prepared evening meal without worrying about the cost. JLCC volunteers are there in the dining room, serving guests and helping create an experience centered on kindness, connection, and dignity.

Together, we’ve helped put thousands of meals on the table, and when you give to the Junior League of Collin County on North Texas Giving Day, you’re helping our members continue showing up for organizations like Community Garden Kitchen and the people they serve!
