Oral Health Over a Lifetime: Promoting Healthy Aging!

The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was delighted to bring our Senior Oral Health Community Program to Prestonwood Court Senior Living! Through Oral Health Over a Lifetime, we are committed to educating and empowering older adults to prioritize oral health as an essential part of overall wellness and healthy aging.

Our engaging day included:
🦷 Oral health education and practical care tips
🎥 A video highlighting healthy oral care practices
🎲 Fun-filled Oral Care Bingo with prizes
🍎 Healthy snacks and dental care products

We also highlighted the important connection between oral health and chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis, while encouraging lifelong preventive care and healthy habits.

We are proud to support older adults in living active, independent, and fulfilling lives while helping to reduce health disparities in our communities.

The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated had an amazing retreat at the beautiful Oak Point Nature & Retreat Center as we kicked off another exciting chapter year!

Together, we strengthened our sisterly bonds through team-building, aligned on our FY 2026–2027 strategic goals, highlighted our umbrella strategy and calendar of events, and renewed our commitment to unity, collaboration, and transformational service.

We are energized, focused, and ready to continue with our chapter's mission, "Elevating Friendship and Service through Mind, Body & Soul" as we make an even greater impact in the communities we serve.

💚🦷 Healthy Smiles, Bright Futures! 🦷💚
The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was proud to partner with Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® at the Plano ISD Back-to-School Fair, providing free dental screenings for children ages 12 and under. Over 200 students were served and given a dental report card on the status of their teeth for next steps.

Also, this year marked a special milestone as our chapter became the first to utilize Colgate's brand-new all-electric mobile dental van! 🚐⚡

We're honored to continue promoting healthy smiles and supporting children and families in our community, one smile at a time!

Several members of The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter along with the SWAG Mentees (Securing Wisdom and Grace) attended Texas Instruments - Bring Your Kids to Work Day this morning. It was a such fun-filled event for students K through 12 to spark their imagination with engaging STEM activities, interactive games, and a wonderful chance to create long lasting memories. Loved it!💚
