🦷💚 ORAL HEALTH OVER A LIFETIME 💚🦷

The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was proud to bring the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures mobile dental van to Mendenhall Elementary for dental screenings!

Through our partnership with Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures and Plano ISD, students received free dental screenings, oral health education, dental report cards, and oral care kits. Families were also provided referrals when additional dental care was needed.

Healthy habits start early—and together, we’re working to transform lives, one smile at a time! 💚🤍

The Plano North Metroplex Chapter of The Links, Incorporated in partnership with the North Texas Cluster chapters: (Trinity (TX), Greater Denton County (TX), Dallas (TX), Fort Worth (TX), and Southern Metroplex (TX), were proud to join Links across the country in celebrating the 31st Annual Walk for Healthy Living.

More than a walk, today was a reminder that healthier communities are built when we move together, encourage one another, and make wellness a priority. Step by step, we continue our commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles for ourselves, our families, and the communities we serve.

💚🤍 LINKS LEGISLATIVE LUNCHEON 🤍💚

Members of the Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated were proud to join fellow Links representing the Western Area at the Links Legislative Luncheon.

The day was an inspiring reminder of the power of advocacy, awareness, action, and civic engagement, with a special focus on Black Women’s Health.

From the amazing panel discussion, meaningful conversations to special recognitions and awards, the luncheon challenged us to remain informed, engaged, and committed to making a difference.

The HBCU Community Trilogy hosted by The Links, Incorporated Western Area at Wiley University was a success! 🎓✨

It was streamed directly from the Julius S. Scott, Sr. Chapel from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, this powerhouse lineup featured inspiring keynotes, critical community and civic discussions, and a showcase debate between Wiley University and Texas Southern University.

Highlights:

• Human Trafficking
• Voter Education

💚🤍 BECOMING HER: MIND. BODY. PURPOSE. 2.0 🤍💚

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted its first SWAG (Serving Wisdom and Grace) meeting of the year, led by our Health & Human Services (HHS) Facet. So grateful to North Texas Performing Arts Academy for the use of the conference room! NORTHTEXASPERFORMINGARTS.ORG

Our SWAG participants engaged in a powerful roundtable discussion with three accomplished professional women centered on an important question: “Who are you becoming, and who do you want to be?”

Each panelist openly shared her personal journey—including challenges, unexpected pivots, career changes, and the lessons learned along the way. Their transparency created a safe and encouraging space for our SWAG participants to listen, ask questions, reflect, and become curious about themselves.

Together, we explored what it means to:

🧠 Listen to your MIND
💚 Pay attention to your BODY and recognize stressors
✨ Discover your PURPOSE
🤝 Evaluate your friendships and relationships
🎯 Make intentional choices
🚀 Explore careers that align with your interests and personality

It was more than a conversation—it was an opportunity for our young people to pause, reflect, and begin thinking intentionally about who they are becoming. We are grateful to our incredible panelists and to our HHS Facet for creating this meaningful experience for SWAG.

The journey of becoming begins with knowing yourself. 💚🤍

CONGRATULATIONS, TAI CHAPMAN! The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is proud to announce and congratulate Tai Chapman on her appointment to serve on The Links, Incorporated National Foundation Committee - Fund Development!

Tai’s appointment is a wonderful recognition of her talent, leadership, expertise, and commitment to service. Her willingness to answer the call to serve at the national level is a tremendous honor not only for Tai, but for our entire chapter.
