๐๐ Closing Out a Year of Service and Giving ๐๐
As the 2025โ2026 Rotary year comes to a close, Plano West Rotary is proud to celebrate one of our favorite traditions: giving back to the community that supports us.
Every year at the Plano Balloon Festival, our members volunteer countless hours selling funnel cakes and other treats to raise money that is invested right back into Plano and Collin County. Thanks to that support, we were honored today to present grants to four outstanding local organizations:

Also pictured are Pieter Niehaus, President of Plano West Rotary, and Mollie Hancock, Chair of the Plano West Rotary Benevolence Committee.
These organizations make a difference every day in the lives of our neighbors. Healing Hands for Kids helps children and families access essential healthcare services. The Wellness Center for Older Adults supports seniors in remaining healthy, active, and independent. City Missions serves neighbors experiencing homelessness with dignity, compassion, and practical assistance. Plano Library Friends supports programs, resources, and opportunities that strengthen our libraries and encourage lifelong learning.
The grants presented today are part of Plano West Rotaryโs Benevolence Commitment, reflecting our clubโs dedication to supporting organizations that improve lives and strengthen our community.
As we conclude another successful Rotary year and prepare to begin the 2026โ2027 Rotary year on July 1, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who bought a funnel cake, volunteered their time, or supported our efforts throughout the year. Together, we are making our community stronger.
