*There has not been a recent school shooting that I am aware of. If I could change the thumbnail, I would. School shootings are one situation that the TECRT, Texas Emergency Crisis Response Team, assist with.

Volunteers are needed to be interviewed during a Mock FBI Critical Incident on the following dates times and places by the Texas Emergency Crisis Response Team. Volunteers will be given a detailed description of character that you are portraying as a survivor witnessing the incident.
With this information, you will be interviewed by a crisis worker and answer their questions. This gives the crisis worker experience working with survivors of traumatic events. Your participation is greatly appreciated, and it will be very helpful.

Thanks to our producer, Buddy Broyles, for taking on the weight of this endeavor.

🤲 What are some opportunities you've had to give back to the community?

🎙 Today, you can hear how Simply Grace is making a difference for women with substance abuse and how the Simply Grace Thrift Store has a part in that. We encourage you to donate gently used items, including furniture, to help them meet the needs of these women as your opportunity to give back.

☕ An ask they have is for the following items to supply their facilities:

- cleaning supplies
- toilet paper
- paper towels
- laundry detergent
- coffee creamers
- sugars

You can learn more about them at SimplyGraceHouse.com. As always, all of their contact information will be in the show notes as well.

🤗 , we appreciate you sharing your story with our listeners.

🙌 to and Buddy Broyles, our producer for taking on our wonderful community podcast!

Yesterday was the screening of the movie.

Being a supporter of nonprofits, I was surprised at how my thought process regarding their funding was inaccurate based on what I learned from the media.

This movie turned that around.

One TED Talk changed things for so many.

If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth watching. Especially if you’re involved with giving back.

Here are a few resources I learned about from it:

Huge shout out to my friend, Eric Zarko with the DFW Nonprofit Resource Group for putting this together and to Rob Bliss for hosting it at The Meeting Place.

Need Help for a woman whose husband was robbed and murdered recently.

She’s looking for a support group or counseling to help her emotionally.

I don’t know yet if she has children who may also need counseling.

Where can I point them?
