The Legacy Senior Communities The Legacy Senior Communities is a Jewish-sponsored, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization

The Legacy Senior Communities is a Jewish-sponsored, not-for-profit 501(C)(3) charitable organization, the parent of The Legacy Willow Bend, a premiere Life Care community in Plano, The Legacy at Home, a home health care agency, The Legacy Midtown Park, a rental continuing care retirement community (coming 2019), and The Legacy Senior Communities Foundation. Our mission is to serve seniors and the

ir families through a continuum of care that includes high-quality healthcare, wellness and choice. We have built a reputation for dedication, innovation and commitment by providing emotional, spiritual and physical care and services that meet and exceed seniors’ housing and healthcare needs. The Legacy Senior Communities has been a nationally-recognized leader in the field of aging for decades. In 1953, with Dallas Home for Jewish Aged on the Golden Acres campus in East Dallas, one of the highest-rated and most innovative communities of its time, we established a solid foundation of caring for Jewish seniors and their families. More than 60 years later, we continue to make it our responsibility to provide the best care possible and have evolved to serve Greater Dallas seniors – Jewish, as well as all other faiths – by offering a full continuum of care and a vibrant lifestyle, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and in-home heath care. Our unique communities and home health services provide seniors and their families’ greater freedom and independence, spiritual and physical wellness, and an improved quality of life. Whether in our well-appointed, state-of-the-art continuing care retirement communities, or while receiving superior care at home, our combination of tradition and innovation is something seniors and their families see and feel every day.

Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jewish lives lost and all those whose lives were forever changed.

In our senior living community, where Jewish Values and Culture guide who we are, this day holds deep meaning. We have been privileged to care for Holocaust survivors—individuals whose strength, courage, and stories continue to inspire us every day.

We remember them not only in silence, but through love, respect, and a commitment to ensuring their stories are never forgotten. May we always choose compassion over hatred and remembrance over forgetting.

🕯️ Never forget. Always remember. 🕯️

Sending our best wishes for a wonderful New Year.

The Legacy Knit & Crochet Club continues to bless our community with handmade items created with love. Each stitch is a reminder that kindness keeps people warm in more ways than one.

The Legacy Knit and Crochet Club in Plano has donated over 50,000 handmade hats, scarves and blankets to North Texas organizations and schools.

Thankful for our residents, families, team members, and all the moments that make this place shine.

This International Volunteer Managers Day, we’re proud to recognize the incredible dedication of Veronica France (The Legacy Willow Bend), Heather Rey (The Legacy at Home), and Rivae Campo (The Legacy Midtown Park) — our volunteer leaders at The Legacy Senior Communities.

Their commitment to kindness, connection, and community shines through everything they do. From coordinating impactful programs to supporting volunteers who serve across our campuses and in homes, they lead with compassion and purpose every day.

We are so grateful for their leadership and for all that they do to support our mission and the people we serve.
