Plano Community Charity

Plano Community Charity In times of hardship, Plano Community Charity (PCC) cares. We will lend a hand through emergency financial assistance, in-kind donations, education, etc.

Plano Community Charity gives back to the community through education programs, veterans assistance, victims of domestic violence, unemployed or underemployed adults, those who need emergency financial assistance, and more. Shop at Plano Resale Shop, located at Plano Community Charity, for high-quality, reasonably priced appliance, furniture, and clothing. All proceeds benefit members of the commu

nity in Plano and Collin County. We are proud to have Dr. Myrtle Hightower, Ph.D., as our Executive Director. After entering college at the age of 15, Dr. Hightower earned a bachelor's degree in English from Langston University, a Master of Teaching degree from Northeastern State University, and a PhD from the University of Cincinnati. She worked at Plano ISD and Collin College for many years as a professor, teacher, and counselor while serving on many committees dedicated to the improvement of our community. Since then, Dr. Hightower has been honored with the Texas Hero of the Children Award, Plano's Meritorious Citizen, Plano Citizen of the Year, and Collin College Living Legend, among others. Dr. Hightower and her late husband were also honored to have the John and Myrtle Hightower Elementary School as their namesake.
