Our young artist spotlight is on Idriss T.!! This incredible 9-year-old in P.I.S.D. has set his sights on making bold and colorful statements through his artwork. Although Idriss is “on the spectrum and is considered non-verbal” according to his mom, he likes to use a variety of mediums like paint sticks, ripped paper, and mixed paint to make his creations. He enjoys meticulously blending colors together to achieve just the right shade. He has been a featured artist at his school, and is inspired by the insects in Eric Carle books. As you can see in his artwork “he loves ducks!” his mom said. “His work is incredible,” his teacher Leslie Kresky explained, “he has so much talent.” We think so too!
