We are neighbors caring for neighbors.

The mission of Christian Neighbors is to provide a safe place for people in our community who need food, rent and utility assistance, education, or other resources to help create stability in their lives. We provide:
* Food (for about 3 meals for 5 days for each family member) each month (Plainwell & Otsego School Districts)
* Emergency financial assistance with rental evictions, utility shut-

offs and needed prescriptions (Plainwell, Otsego, & Martin School Districts)
* Connection Classes (Open to General Public)

🎉 Exciting news! Christian Neighbors has been awarded a $4,500 Food Security Grant from the Allegan County Community Foundation for our Generator Project!

This grant will allow us to purchase portable generators to keep our refrigeration and freezer systems running during power outages, protecting critical food inventory and ensuring we can continue serving families in need without interruption.

No matter the weather or unexpected outages, we're committed to being here for our community. Thank you to ACCF for investing in food security and emergency preparedness! 🙏

Because of the generosity of our community, Christian Neighbors welcomed over 200 attendees on May 14th at our largest fundraiser of the year and raised more than $93,000 to support neighbors in need.

These funds will help us continue providing a safe and welcoming place for individuals and families seeking food assistance, rent and utility support, education opportunities, and resources that help create long-term stability.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, business partners, auction donors, attendees, volunteers, and every person who helped make this event such a success. Your compassion and support are changing lives right here in our community.

UPDATE: tomato cages are gone, but there are still buckets left so feel free to take them off our hands.

We have some items available for anyone who would like to have a container garden this summer. The buckets are pre-drilled for drainage and there are tomato cages as well. These items are sitting under the overhang on the front of our building. They are free and are first come, first served. Please only take a few per household so others can have some as well. If you take the last of the items, please comment here so we can update that the items are gone. Thank you!!

✨What an incredible evening last night at our Reflection of Hope Dinner & Auction! ✨
