Children's Theatre 2026 is alive and well.

The audition for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of “The Frog Prince” will be held on June 15th, 9:50 AM at Plainwell High-School Performing Arts Center. There are roles for students from 1st grade through 12th grade in the Plainwell and Otsego School Districts. Pre-registration is required. Audition forms will be available at Ransom District Library on May 1st.

Approximately 55-65 local students will be cast to appear in the show. Up to 4 students will be cast as Assistant Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-minutes after the audition.

This is a group audition–no advance preparation is necessary. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!

Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 10am until 2:30pm. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours and 30 minutes will be able to get lunch at the High-School Cafeteria for free.

The performances will be held on June 20th at 7pm at the Performing Art Center.

The Missoula Children's Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. This coming year more than 65,000 cast members across the globe will take to the stage to the delight and applause of their families, friends, community, neighbors and teachers!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Plainwell Arts Council will be sponsoring the Children's Theatre again in 2026; "The Frog Prince" . Watch for updates about auditions which begin June 15, 2006. We will have early registration through the library, so keep your eyes peeled.

CHILDREN'S THEATRE

There is still time for children ages 1st grade -12th to sign up for the children's theatre. Auditions begin June 16th. Information and audition forms are available at the Ransom Library. Auditions last a week and the production is Saturday, June 21st at 7pm at the Plainwell High School Performing Arts Center.

Hey everyone, we are so happy to announce that we are bringing back the children's theatre this year. The program is free for participants. Missoula Children's Theatre production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be held at the Plainwell High School Performing Arts Center at 7pm on June 21st. Auditions for the production will be held beginning June 16th and run through June 20th. There is room for up to 65 1st-12th graders; actors, stage help and assistant directors. Audition registration forms (times and scheduling are also included) are available at the Ransom District Library and must be returned to the Library by June 6th. It is not necessary to register but those that do will be given the first right at auditions. Tickets for the event on the June 21st will be $10 general admission.
