Thank you to everyone who believed in this project and supported us in so many ways, we appreciate you!

It's been just over a year since taking on the project of saving the buildings in downtown Plainville.

The historic buildings at 217 and 219 West Mill faced a possibility of being torn down due to a collapsing back wall.

After much hard work and determination, we are happy to announce that we have received a $100,000 grant from USDA Rural Development Community Facilities.

We hope to use these funds to put a new roof on the buildings, finish the back walls, and gut the interior.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project!

Good evening! We wanted to give a quick update. We will continue to post progress pics as things continue to happen. We have started the work on the back of the buildings and are slowly making progress removing the limestone from the back. The plan is to frame in the back and go over with metal on the outside. This will be a much easier wall to maintain. We are planning on working on the building in sections as funds allow and our next big project once the back wall is fixed is to get a new roof put on ASAP. We do not want the interior to continue to deteriorate and with the current roof this will continue to happen until it is fixed. As always thank you for following along on this journey. If you would like to donate to this project please send us a message. Thank you again for all of your support!

Update. We talked to commercial builders in Hays and are getting on the schedule to get the back walls of the building put back up and stabilized. This is a huge relief for a lot in the community and we are happy to announce progress is being made. We are working on another grant to get the buildings gutted and put a new roof on. This brings us huge relief! We have all worked so hard to make this happen and it is becoming a reality. As always if you would like to make a donation towards this project, please do not hesitate to contact us. We wouldn't be where we are today without the help of the community.

Exciting news this morning. With the help of Kelli Hansen we have been given a grant of $43,270 through the Dane G. Hansen foundation to save the buildings downtown. This grant puts us just at the $50,000 mark towards the amount needed to save these buildings. We still need the community! We need everyone to share, comment and make a donation if possible. We wouldn't have been able to make it this far without everyone's help and we know we can do this. If you've been holding off on making a donation, now is the time. We can save our downtown! Thank you to everyone who has shown support thus far.
